Happy for BP, sort of, but you have to admit it's kind of funny the way YG saw the early predictions and said on GOD we gonna get this #1 :rip:

That’s their own fault, no one asked them to price the Album at 50$! Hope they learned their lessons

I hate them

"Born Pink" not being inside the top 10 biggest Kpop debuts on BB200? :biblionny:

YG really sabotaged BP by selling the album for $50  :rip:

Super m had  tour bundles, mediaplay and marketed as BTS ender let’s not.
BP has a limited signed digital version and I’m sure it barely cracked 2k sales and I can name a bunch of kpop groups which have also done that :dies:

Quote

The CD configuration of the album was issued in collectible packages (17 total, including exclusive variants for Target and the group’s official webstore), each with a standard set of internal paper items and randomized elements (such as photocards, postcards and stickers). Among those were four alternative cover art editions — each corresponding to a member of the group. CD sales were bolstered by the availability of signed editions of the album (the four cover variants) in the group’s webstore and at independent record stores, where each of the four versions was signed by its corresponding member.

Lavish collectible CD packages like Born Pink’s are typically expensive — as its standard digipack and box set editions originally sold for $26 and $50, respectively, in the group’s webstore. However, the digipack’s price fell to $14.99 during release week, while the autographed edition available at indie retail also went for $14.99.

Sale pricing also kicked in on the digital version of the album, which began selling for $7.99 in the iTunes and Amazon digital stores but fell to $3.99 midway through its debut week. In addition, three alternative digital editions of the album were released on Sept. 19 exclusively in the group’s webstore for $4.99 each. All three had the same eight song tracklist, but two came with an alternative cover art, and one was a “signed digital album” (with digital replicas of the quartet’s signatures on its cover).

Girl an album doesn't go from 80k to 100k after a bunch of mid-week gimmicks because "2k" :deadbanana2:

If they didn't pull the gimmicks, they would not have been #1. If this was another other group, they'd have been dragging for all the gimmicks midway through the week and called fraudulent by Blinks. Pls.

Blinks (literally in this thread) have acted like BP is some group with GP appeal and that they're not like BTS (a fanbase driven group) when the second the tracking week ended, Shut Down tumbled to #8 on Spotify WW :rip:

Pink Venom didn't even go Top 20 on the Hot 100 with all the hype and VMAs.

They're a popular girl group, not denying that. It's a cool achievement and BP definitely "Deserve" to be the first GG to top the BB200, but that doesn't take away that the only reason they even topped it was due to gimmicks. I'm pretty sure everyone believed they'd at least match The Album sales and have an easy #1.

And you could say the only reason it struggled to sell physical copies was due to the price, but if BP stans weren't so chart obsessed, maybe YG wouldn't treat you like ATMs.

64k from CD alone. 17 versions is the usual kpop standards so I don’t get the gimmicks comments.

Pink venom was the 9th most streamed song the week after release you do know that BB heavily depends on radio play. PV barely cracked the top 40 on mediabase. :dies: Freaky girls could’ve spent many weeks at #1 if radio wasn’t carrying the charts.

They got 37M on demand-streams that’s not Olivia’s numbers but the audience is clearly tuning in

Chile... the discussions in this thread are truly the pits. I was mad about those 2 users posting updates about their hag faves career, but the BP comeback talk is even worse.

Lemme try and change the subject:

Straight Men >>>>> Twink x Twink

Botchedjun is too payola-ed. The payola should be entirely reserved for that member that says he's gonna be the male Bae Suzy:clap3::clap3::clap3:
