There were a lot of issues with the ticketing. I got this email a day after I signed up:

We're glad you're all so excited about the possibility of seeing Lady Gaga perform on the intimate Kimmel lobby stage! However, we've noticed a disturbing trend that we wanted to address right away.
Having multiple accounts is a violation of 1iota's terms of service. Each individual should only have a single 1iota account. Not only will utilizing multiple 1iota accounts reduce the likelihood you receive tickets to this event, it actually increases the likelihood that you will not be able to receive tickets to any 1iota events in the future. 
If you are one of those folks with multiple accounts we recommend you cancel your "extra" requests and delete your additional accounts immediately.

Or they wanted to pre-record in really tight time slots that ended up not working because of last minute changes/obstacles that currently came up. Could be Gaga's premiere dress for JFAD not fitting (refitting sessions), problems with the Kimmel stage that could not be fixed by the time Gaga wanted to record etc etc

It kinda sounds like this is being filmed FOR Kimmel, so instead of performing at the studio she will be pre-recording a performance elsewhere, so that's why her performance has been "cancelled". Although I don't know why they wouldn't just mention it's for Jimmy Kimmel if that is the case.
