Puttanesca Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Ugh, Judas is such a cool song but it'll always be tainted by the fact that its release is when everything started going wrong

TrymeB Posted July 13 Posted July 13 (edited) Imagine if Judas was the opening single for BTW with a May release (prior to pride) of BTW (single). Honestly she would have been occupying the top two spots on the Hot 100 for at least 4-6 months. Edited July 13 by TrymeB

Human Fly Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Hold My Hand sounds amazing in 2024. Its almost like Gaga's big issue releasing songs that are ahead of its time This ******* legend could never make dated music, GPs always couple years behind. 8
TrymeB Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Judas was THE perfect TFM to BTW transition song. It deserves so much more than it got.

Just edit the weird intro (first 5-6 sec) and it's timeless.
Darkgalord Posted July 13 Posted July 13 JokerFAD's Oscars campaign will be insane. WB is going full force to promote it. 2

One of the many reasons I think all the "leaks" are AI.

Judas almost derailed her entire pop career I'm glad it's gotten its flowers now, but absolutely not as the lead. 2
hausofbryan Posted July 13 Posted July 13 (edited) People shouldn't forget streaming didn't exist in 2011, and people still consumed music via iTunes and pop radio. Radio wouldn't touch Judas, hence less exposure and driving down digital sales. Judas is one of my favorite Gaga songs ever, but unless she waited to release it after like 2018, it was never going to be a regular "hit" And that's the tea on that, girls! PI selling 100k was considered low at the time, but today, it's amazing to me that 100k people spent their money on a single song! Now, all the music is free and super easily accessible, the transition to streaming happened really fast i know that this is basic knowledge but for some reason it fascinates me today 3

We can consider Judas a regular hit now. It went top 10 and Platinum before the streaming era, and it's 2024 virality sealed it as a hit. 8
