its so hard to see every other fanbases getting something (Bey made it worse, with 2 releases since Chromatica) while we get nothing :gaycat7:

Also it's hard to be hyped for the Joker tbh, it's a 2022 project, so there's no longer any novelty effect, and on top of that it won't be released until October :rip: What the **** is taking her so long with LG7? Like she had plenty of time during lockdowns... :deadbanana4:

I'd rather wait until 2025 than have a Cowboy Carter from Gaga. And yes we had Joanne but that was a thousand times more enjoyable.

also, the Blade's fake news made it 10x harder. Like, I wasn't expecting LG7 till 2026 (given her apparent lack of interest in music), but after all the teasing (from Blade and Gaga) I can't help but feel like the lead should've been released in February.

yes, CC is terrible, I'm just saying that Beyoncé managed to release two whole albums since Chromatica.

Why can't she at least do another (couple of) movies like? Girl you have so much free time between hauslab and hosting Pfizer meet & greet

You should try to do the same king! Blade is far and gone and we now know he was lying and we cannot delude ourselves anymore into Gaga only having the mixing process left or that she's posting old studio pictures since she has clearly mentioned twice that she's still writing some songs

But didn't Beyoncé record CC in 2017-2019 and then she sat on it until now?
It's not like she recorded 2 months in a 3 year period. Plus she refuses to release music videos

you're right bestie, and tbh I never really believed Blade (mostly because other reliable insiders remained silent), but it's just an annoying situation. I hate waiting, and the wait has been too long (especially since Gaga ****** up the Chromatica era). :gaycat7:

yes, she's annoying for refusing to release visuals (not that I care tbh, but it must be very frustrating for her fans). :giraffe:

This narrative is so tired. Normal eras now are 1-2 music videos and a tour.
Look at Eternal Sunshine. 30 minute long album, no performances, 2 cheap music videos. This is what a normal mpg era looks like in the 2020s

Gaga did more in the Chromatica era than Taylor did with Folklore, Ariana did with Positions and Beyoncé did with Renaissance. Like if LG7 is really released before JFAD, the era is going to probably have less content than Chromatica

Tbh Gaga being in movies is a good thing, cause that's the only way we are gonna get multiple red carpets and intense 4 months promo periods

This narrative is so tired. Just because some pop stars do it doesn't mean we blindly accept it? Also, The Weeknd and Dua Lipa had great eras the same year. Obviously I don't expect Lady Gaga to do as much promotion as Dua Lipa (who was still fairly new to the pop world), but she could very well have sung Chromatica songs, even from home... Like, the lack of performances ruined the era for me, I need songs to come alive. And she could've released at least another MV. :giraffe:

I don't expect a Gaga era in the future to be anything more than 2 singles, an album and tour since that's pretty much been how it's been since ARTPOP (I understand that that probably wasn't the intentions for ARTPOP, I presume if it was more successful they would have pushed more singles) and for her she seems to like it and it works for her. She can keep fans happy with droplet vids like G.U.Y., John Wayne and 911 and in her "off-era" periods she can concentrate on Haus Labs, acting and I think she enjoyed doing Vegas so may do more of that in the future too. Mega-eras are definitely not her thing anymore and as much as I'd love for her to have another huge era, as long as I enjoy the music it's fine.

First of all, both of Ariana videos this era have been great and wcbf is definitely not cheap :biblio:

Secondly, the main point of the Chromatica narrative is her not using even 50% of the era's potential. Second era in a row without a lead single performance is crazy. No matter how bad they were or how much they flopped, they were frickin lead singles!

It's abundantly clear to us that Miss LamborghiniGa AdobeCreativeCloudGa had other more pressing priorities during the Chrom era and didn't care anymore about promoting her own album (that she admittedly did not want to record).  Bloodpop is the main reason why we have the music and why we got an amazing remix album (not that Gaga thanked any of the artists who spent their time to record and promote her remix album).  It was even worse that she used a social movement to explain her absence while subsequently becoming the queen of corporate sponsorships.  Comparing her to artists that are known for being the absolute laziest is not exactly the defense you thought.  Love her but she deserves the critique.

She was set to perform at Coachella and the iheart music awards, but they canceled because of the pandemic. That's not Gaga's fault. She literally couldn't perform live because of covid. But somehow the pandemic is her fault?

It's been 4 years. The people still crying about the Chromatica era need to move on. She did what she could do. She had a super tight schedule and Covid disrupted it. Holding the pandemic against her is weird behavior

Saying stuff like, "She ****** up the Chromatica era". When the truth is the pandemic ****** up the era. But even during the pandemic she was able to perform at the VMAs (with multiple outfit changes) and recorded her best music video since Telephone

I'm a professional songwriter who has worked on a looot of big albums and it scares me how much the GP believes that every artist writes their own ****. Apart from Gaga and Taylor and a handful of others…. Everything is made in writing camps

saw this comment on Reddit, yes GaGa yes songwriting :clap3:

The girl couldn't even be bothered to host a listening party on Twitter, nevermind actually anything worth remembering :rip:

I sometimes feel like we stan for Britney. We constantly have nothing to do but have the same arguments over and over, usually around "what went wrong" on any given era.
