Yet tones of people from this fanbase abandoned her during that period and still trash that era to these days because she wasn't 'successful' like in the previous ones, especially in comparison to other artists at the time, proving that even when she was still pushing boundaries of fashion and being an innovative popstar there was still something to not be happy for either way, she can't never win, she's right in doing what she wants these days without caring about what this fanbase has to say about her choices. 2

For anyone who watched Wandavision, how did that manifest? Because she apparently disassociated into sitcoms or something? How did that play out and based on that rumor, does that increase or decrease your hype for Joker? Hide contents I’m both curious and trying to change the subject because the discourse in here is so damn depressing today It was amazing and terrifying at the same time

This is probably a stupid question (and I have no shortage of those at my disposal ) but did each episode show Wanda “in the real world” before she went into the sitcom of the episode or was that just implied? I’m trying to figure out how it could work for Harley apparently doing something similar.

Her trauma and grief made her create a contained reality in which she had everything she needed: the love of her life, her children, her dead brother, etc she used American sitcoms because she used to watch them with her family before they brutally murdered them

JFAD will probably stick to realism or pure fantasies in her head, but it will be cool to see how they do that! 1
opbranden Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Wanda was grieving, Harleen will most likely be just a crazy ***** 1

But really tho, even in the comics Wanda madness is rooted in abuse, pain, loss. My poor girl was never happy for too long Harleen is very different, and her relationship with the Joker is... well questionable. I'm very curious to see how will they adapt her story. Right now her comics are very different from the old ones

Aden Posted March 3 Posted March 3 We've lashed Gaga in here lately but we're not going to be able to stomach the kinds of scenes we're about to see mother in. We've been playfully gagging over her Harley looks but she's going to portray a story of mental and physical abuse. It's not going to be pretty visually. 2

TheLastChord Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Honestly if J:FaD is well received and is a potential awards players, it'll be interesting to see what WB does. Dune P2 is an excellent film and considering how big an awards player the first one was... It'd be really complicated to aim for both.
hypocrateen Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Not a film expert here but I watched Dune part II yesterday and I don't see the actors getting many nods for their roles, the story progresses with such haste in certain parts that we don't get to stay with them long enough to wow at their performances. I see it sweeping in technical categories though. 1

WB had two BP nominee’s when the first Dune (10) came out + King Richard (6); the former swept technical categories, while latter BA.
Escape Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Is ATRL glitching or why does two pages have the same replies???

I see it sweeping in technical categories though. Dune part one was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won 6 of them. Joker was nominated for 11, and won 2 (score and actor) Dune was well received by the critics (83% on RT, 74 on MC), Joker was midly received (69% on RT, 59 on MC). (Dune Part 2 is even more appreciated by the critics than the first one) Dune is definitely more of an awards darling than Joker. Phoenix's performance and the box office success made them consider the movie more imo Let's hope the movie is good and that Gaga will get the nom Edited March 3 by ToniGaga96
