Shoful Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 People saying Taylor doesn’t have passion for her music and creating music… the absolute nonsense. She’s literally one of the only artists who has made a fortune solely off her music and has not done any side businesses (like makeup). She promotes and records multiple videos for each of her albums and has been rerecording all of her music and giving us unreleased songs. Idk why people get so pressed at her making money through music when every other artist makes money through tacky outside ventures 2

Even if it doesn't go as well as we'd like, it's still going to be interesting. We'll get months of trailers, interviews, looks, memes, reviews, predictions, box office tracking, potential awards chatter, and the actual movie itself. And I'm glad they're doing something that's been consistently described as risky, different, ect. because I feel like so many "blockbuster" movies have been so paint-by-the-numbers as of late, and the box office reflects that. One of many reasons that Barbenheimer such such a moment was because neither movie looked like your typical four-quadrant blockbuster on paper. This has the potential to really be an event. We also have the benefit of knowing way less about the plot than we did her previous two movie projects (with HOG being based off of a true story and ASIB being a remake). Sorry if I'm rambling; I'm just hyped Also: Happy Halloween to those who celebrate 8 1

Zero promo. Zero fan interaction. She couldn’t even reschedule a twitter Q&A for Chromatica. The lack of enthusiasm from her has been disheartening especially compounded with the quick endorsement scams (nurtec). I used to listen to her daily, but I haven’t touched her music in like a year or more I agree but she was still herself and very passionate about music during the Joanne era. The drive was definitely there. You can tell she was in her element and enjoyed being a musician. I think the JWT cancelation shifted her focus to other ventures and it happened at a convenient time since her debut lead role was happening that same year. 2018 was really the year where she changed. 1

Creating music, releasing music. She loves performing. She's not afraid of going on tour. She releases as many videos are necessary for her albums. Heck, she even releases videos for her re-recoding albums. She just released All Too Well, a 10-minute-long song with heartbreaking lyrics, and performed it multiple times. She's not afraid of doing promo. There's literally no passion behind Chromatica. Gaga never talked about the era, she never discussed the meaning of the songs. It is clear is was a Bloodpop passion project. No passion behind Chromatica? Like I know you all hate her, but that is such a bold faced lie. Watch the Rain On Me and 911 music videos and tell me she had no passion for the album. She did full choreo for her tour while having fibro, while other younger artists just walk around the stage out of breath because they can’t even sing their own songs. All the photo shoots for the album are gushing with creativity and passion. Gaga’s vocal performance on the album is at another level, she really gave it her all 4

Artur Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Yesterday I was coming back home with some straight friends and played BM on Spotify in the car. They were actually singing it together and it got me so excited. Then, they asked me about Gaga and why she disappeared from music years ago and I was like I just hate how her more recent efforts are so quickly forgotten by people. Idk what’s the problem. Lack of promo? 1
Summer Boy Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 (edited) Yes Taylor is a money-hungry capitalist (and her music is so mid, unseasoned and flavorless), and yes Gaga showed no passion for Chromatica! edit : And yes, Gaga is also money obsessed! Edited October 31, 2023 by Summer Boy 1

Setting up donations and letting black voices take control of her social media (She also derailed her lead single to put together a fund raiser for a cure for covid) And then she came back later to perform at the VMAs and release the 911 video. She had conflicting priorities at the time. But she definitely had a lot of passion for Chromatica
POPTART Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Some of you are clearly missing the point. And why is every little bit of criticism in here seen as hate? Obviously we all love her that's why we're in this base. Saying how Taylor's efforts are all capitalism, but if Gaga was doing all that you would be bragging about it, be real. I'd rather have all that then anything Haus Lab, but she clearly loves it as much. 2 5

Idk why people get so pressed at her making money through music when every other artist makes money through tacky outside ventures She may not have a make up side business but Tacky and Corny are Taylor’s middle names, including such manipulative stunts as pretending that her rushed re-recordings with dozens of aesthetically ugly variants have any artistic merit outside cash grabs and need for total control above and beyond any music star that’s existed before or will likely exist after; even convincing her legion of Disney Adult fans to label the original albums “stolen” just to line her coffers. But this isn’t Taylor’s base so let’s not keep discussing her. 2

fra Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I completely agree with what some of you are discussing about Gaga's passion, direction and general response and interest not just by the general public but especially from her fans, us. I have to say I don't think it is strictly something coming from her, like lack of passion for her music projects or intest in her career. Her interests are, just like her, all over the place, music, fashion/make up, acting and counting. I guess it is just too much to properly handle and give the right exposure and this, also, it's not her fault. It should not be up to her that much. Look at Taylor, she's of course working like crazy at so many things right now but what really makes the difference is the team behind her and how they make the most out of it. She's kinda never totally letting go of an era and not just like right now with the re-recordings. The artist makes the art, the management should make it as big as possible. Nowdays the artist doesn't need to go at avery event or show to promote and we know how things are but for Gaga somehow it's not that easy. I also get that being so pushed by her team is not her priority but some things should be basic administation for an artist of that caliber. Obviosly her team being basically a bunch of her friends doesn't help and to me is not professional both for her and her personal relationships and especially for her career. Also you can see how Gaga is trying to be more centred on her private life and possible family rather than pursuing the high standards new artists are setting. However I always look at Taylor saddened by the fact that Gaga couldn't keep it going like her. By the way, this is my first post ever here after a decade just reading you all Sorry for the poem 3

Album Leak Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I mean, all of the 2000s and 2010s pop divas except Taylor are kind of hibernating, cancelling plans, taking residency in Vegas and/or focusing on other venues of entertainment/money making. Just the way it goes I suppose, but I was expecting Gaga to have a little bit more enthusiasm and juice in her even this '' late '' into her pop star career. 1
