I do not buy the SAG-AFTRA strike excuse at all. They had from, what, September to July to put the recording together and put it out? And other artists have made it very clear that that is more than enough time. Waiting well over a year to put the footage out is weird anyway - strike or no strike.

Why it wasn’t released April-June I have no idea (I removed Jan-March for JFAD filming). Then October-December of last year… well she could’ve back then too but I’ll just say she was focused on her learning her lines :eli:

Yeah. It made some sense initially since it was uncharted territory for her, but Tay Tay and Beyonsay have both put out their concerts with no issues with SAG. Either it's scrapped and they don't have the balls to say it, or there's stuff going on behind the scenes. Maybe it's similar to Beyoncé and they're still trying to find it a home, or are debating on if they should go theatrical or not.

Ah well, she can't do a single thing before Joker for no reason, and nothing can happen in 2025 so she can avoid over-exposure, so maybe ChromaBall can come out in 2026. And then she can work on an album during 2027, and then LG7 in 2028! :gaycatx:

True, it'll be scrapped by then. Maybe they could film her jazz show. They'd make sure that would be released the next day.

I'm kinda hoping they won't do a pop show.

Just the Jazz show, and a WW tour every 4 years, that would be great.

ROM streams are horrid  for a song that went top 10 in over 30 counties  :rip: Sis their all recurrent songs, HMH is coming up to 18 months old - and for a solo Gaga song in the streaming era with 20m playlisting it’s doing what a Gaga song would do. It’s not gonna collapse suddenly, worse case scenario it’ll do 160k -200k in the future and 100k on YT.

I expect the harshness from the base cause if it was something they liked  it would be getting outstreamed by Katy perrys last release like her other pop stuff in the streaming era  and we’d never hear the end of the ‘promo’ argument :gaycat1:

A lot of hits from 2020 have abnormally weak recurrents. For instance, Doja's Say So is in the same boat. A lot of songs that weren't the absolute biggest hits of the year (or Folklore) got left behind. There are only a few exceptions. They defined the year COVID happened, and people stopped listening to them once we started getting out of the pandemic. HMH's current performance is nowhere near as good as ROM's at a comparable time or against hits from last year. The fact that we can only say it has good numbers while putting it against the daily numbers of a song twice as old says it all.

And HMH and MR are both being outstreamed by Katie's last semi-hit so I'm not sure what the point is.

Its gonna be so annoying if it fails to hit 1m on Halloween.

Madonna at 65 serving budget and great visuals with her latest tour is so impressive.

I love it when pop artists don't lose their drive and passion for music.

Replay is a masterpiece, it needed to be the lead single.:gaycat1:

Exactly this, it's not that hard to get it, the complain is not about the fact that she can't allegedly release it now because of the strike but because it took her so long when others are releasing it in very short times.

What does this even mean? Madonna is good at one thing and one thing only; Gaga is a multi-faceted artist with many talents and is choosing to focus her talents on other things than pop music right now, and we will DEAL with and ACCEPT that.

Not even Madonna showing professional recordings of her new tour already

when will Gaga ? :chick3:

Calling Madonna good at only one thing is peak delusion right there...

OT: Gags should go back to taking some inspiration from Madge :gaycat1:

Can Gag give us a droplet or two just to keep her name afloat? It's getting boring :chick3:

You’re right, Madge is good at 2 things:

1. being a pop star

2. getting shitty plastic surgery

Well, I didn't mention Lee on my post.

And my harmless comment remains true and valid, no matter what.

it says more that her only pop song in the convo we can compare to this 4 minute noisy ballad that  was never gonna do well on Spotify is against a #1 Ariana Grande dance pop single :rip:
Say So has two versions combined = 309k + 32k = 340k. Rain On Me 295k on Friday…  the say so comparison is another liddo thing like MR being local:matty:  ROM was doing 500-600k after a year and it still had 100m playlisting. The over criticalness on HMH is giving gays hating p!nk for  no reason teas :dies:

HMH was underwhelming for TG… but it’s going to do 150k+ on Spotify and 80K+ on YT for the foreseeable. if you don’t like that standard for Gaga, Ironically you’ll still have take it up with her other songs for providing said standards.

:sherlock:
