If Gaga released Replay as a lead instead of SL, most of you would have Chromatica in your top 3 Gaga albums.

it already is

I wouldn’t be so sure. I think it’s very possible she tops it one day.

well it’s over

Me and another user pointed out this just last week that she might have been in the studio not for the album.. when others in here as usual were acting like she was 100% working on the new album with that producer.

It was obvious to me she wasn't recording a different project just few weeks before filming Joker, especially knowing that it's a musical (so it would have been logical thinking she was recording for that) and most important all the preparation that she does to get and stay into character, but I gave up on pointing out those things since it would have been triggered the usual copy paste posts of certain users that think to know for sure what she is doing behind the scenes.

Keep secretly a collab for other artists is one thing, a whole new album is another, in my opinion in a way or another we will know in advance when and if she has worked on it.

Maybe they wanted the collab to be secret so Andrew didn’t follow her until just a few months ago instead of when they recorded :michael:

it still would've underperformed commerically like anything from chromatica, so monsters still would trash it.
SL made the most sense a lead the album is good with Gagas personality littered into and a great listen start to finish.

Rena is still a dance album but it feels released in the 20s, not in the same way of 2010s era.

TF production isn't revolutionary but it literally marked the shift of radio.  If you're gonna go back to something as an artist, it has to be EXTRA EXTRA solid - esp dance/pop music

the way she marketed and promoted was good as ever with her one woman soundbite campaigns 'healing in dance'  and the concept and theme was really good and relevant of mental health.

Chromatica is Gagas best album even though the topic is very specific. I love the album but “dancing through your pain” kind of triggers me now. I don’t want to touch any of the songs anymore even though i know its one of her bests. Repeating “my biggest enemy is me” everyday during singing a song can cause mental health issues subconsciously. We became what we sing and say so.

still my top 5 is

Replay > Alice > 911 with interlude > Rain On Me > Sine From Above (remix)

omg i thot i was the only one fearing Traumatica would worsen my mental health issues on repeated listens

replay + 911 are psychiatrists worst nightmare i fear

now i listen to born this way album for free therapy

911 is honestly healing. It’s one of the best pop songs.

I mean the songs have replay value. Its not a song you hear once and be like “oh cool” and never listen again. Thats the problem. Its a pop song about being suicidal or whatever. I think thats why she distanced herself from that album. She is repeating her own mental health problems :rip:

i remember i made a girlfriend of mine watch the 911 video. She said the video was fantastic and different but that she never wants to see it or hear it again. She said “i can’t imagine what is happening in the mind of someone who shoots videos like this she is not good in her head” and opened i will never love again :rip:

Great album though and deserved much better.

Gaga had awesome vocals on the new track, as always, but like with much of the other stuff she's doing in her career at the moment I'm just not into the old timey vibes.

I was told that I would have forgotten SSOH by today, but I'm on my 5th spin of the day. Lies were spoken I fear. :gaycat2:

What I think helps BTW, even if some may be called fillers, is that it’s her longest album thus far with 17 songs/1h13m. That does help make it an experience. Of course the music itself is the most important part but the length aids it me thinks.

Yeah the concensus is that SSOH is their best song since 1989, Grammys next:clap3:

Yeah what makes BTW a masterpiece is that it's a long album but full of really good songs. Artpop had the reverse problem where it was a longer album with less-than-stellar songs.

I don't think it's impossible for her to top it. Many artists of her caliber have released their best works several eras into their careers. LG7 being rock-inspired and topping BTW would be a funny irony too given the rock influences on the latter.
