I thought Gaga might've broken her second single curse with Chromatica.
Something always happens that changes the rollout of the era, and it's almost always something to do with the second single, at least since… well, Born This Way with Judas being a disaster in timing and her opting to pump out Edge of glory shortly afterwards.

ARTPOP second single was intended to be Venus, with a video being prepped to be shot before DWUW smashed unexpectedly and all plans for Venus got scrapped. And then we know the rest of the story on DWUW.

Come Joanne, she was READY to release AYO, and then decided last minute to switch to Million Stinkers, wailed on that dead horse for pretty much the rest of that era.

But Chromatica, I thought it was done. She released the second single as it was intended. The whole era was derailed by cultural events anyways, but still.

Now with LG7, I'm wondering what the second single was meant to be, after Disease, but now Disease is kinda… the second single 😂
