Chromatica is fully focused on being a perfect pop fused house album. It is a well crafted, cohesive album. But it comes off as less adventurous/risky Joanne explores a lot of different genres that Gaga had never touched before that point. It is impressive watching Lady Gaga, who built her brand on electronic dance music, make a genre bending album focused on vocals. At times the album gets messy and the genres do not appeal to her core fan base. Comparing these albums is like comparing apples to oranges. The only thing they have in common is Gaga. For me personally, I prefer Joanne because it has more of a Gaga feel to it. Technically speaking, Chromatica is probably the superior album 5
