Jack! Posted October 7 Posted October 7 8 minutes ago, SharGaga said: You really think the remix is going #1? The competition is too tight sis for LG7 lead or the Ari remix. This is not the same as a remix with The Weeknd. We'll see soon I guess. I'm not expecting LG7 lead to to debut at #1. It will go there organically if GP likes the song. Y'all need to manage your expectations. A #1 or #2 debut for LG7 lead is not a given. I mean, none of us really know. Ari has a lot of streaming power around a new release and the Hot 100 is looking for a shake-up to get Shaboozey off of #1. I'm not saying it will, but I'm saying there's a chance. I personally couldn't care less about chart placements and just want new music, but my original comment meant more about maybe what her team are thinking. Ultimately who cares. New music is the main thing. 1
Vroom Vroom Posted October 7 Posted October 7 So it looks like JFAD will break even. Making it not a total flop. Hopefully Gaga will snatch some acting nominations. She might get an Oscar nom for best original song 1
HonourableVomit Posted October 7 Posted October 7 the 'promo campaign' for the LG7 song will just be insta posts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with snippets and then we won't hear from her until February 1 2025. 1

This is the kind of promo she needs to have for LG7 lead. In your face or nothing. If she does a commercial I hope it's a good one. (Getting flashbacks to the Kia hamsters)
Colmillo Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Wait the brat remix album is coming this Friday, yeah she needs to wait until the 18th
Popular Post HausOfPunk Posted October 7 Popular Post Posted October 7 The Washington Post just dropped an article on JFAD's flop. Repeats the same things we've seen in other articles, but it reinforces the narrative that Gaga is NOT to blame. https://www.washingtonpost.com/style/2024/10/06/joker-2-box-office/ The subtitle is "Not even Lady Gaga could save the anti-hero musical drama, which reportedly earned a bleak domestic opening of $40 million in domestic ticket sales." Which would imply that Gaga is a box office force otherwise! Other mentions of Gaga: "The second act of "Joker" has left audiences unamused, falling flat at the box office, sparking fan outrage over Lady Gaga's limited screen time..." "Still many Lady Gaga fans alike took aim at the film for underutilizing the actress's talents. In particular, the singer's fans lamented about her limited screen time amid reports claiming that the actress is featured for less than a quarter of the movie's 139-minute run time. And others slammed the film for misleading promotional material and called for Warner Bros. to release an extended cut with scenes of Lady Gaga in the official trailer that they say were omitted from the final movie. "Why are majority of the visuals featuring @ladygaga in the trailer missing from the actual @jokermovie?!" one user wrote on X. "Release the Gaga cut!!" 17 4

SharGaga Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) Joker fanatics have decided to make Gaga the scapegoat in her IG comments. It really doesn't get any worse than this. I hope she releases the lead this week. We need a palette cleanser asap. Edited October 7 by SharGaga

It's fine. 5
LostInStereo100 Posted October 7 Posted October 7 We are worried about a remix now? Knife isn't exactly radio music. Sure it might have a big first week or two but I'm pretty sure Gaga's new single will be a radio single
Colmillo Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I hope Gaga never EVER again works on a movie which target audience is the incels, it will never end well for her
eclipsed Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) Harlequin is the best thing to come out of this mess for me. I have been enjoying a handful of songs from it already but I think I understand why she made it. It would have been even more wild to just have the joker soundtrack with their botched vocals. Plus like she said she wasn't done with the character and I think we can see why, she never reached her full potential. I think she knew the movie wasn't going to go over well for some time tbh. Die With A Smile might have been more calculated than first imagined also. At least she can say she has the #1 song in the world Edited October 7 by eclipsed 4
AvadaKedavra Posted October 7 Posted October 7 The ones who are acting like her next album will flop are delusional. Maybe it will not be gargantuan successful but i think it will be a great seller I only know one thing and is..........Her new album will be acclaimed and i can smell the good songs already some of her best in years
hawx23 Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Just came out of the movie. This movie is very well done. I'm convinced the people who hate it are actually just stupid or bandwagoning. It has a very unconventional structure and is legitimately wild. I also don't get LMs who think Gaga isn't there enough. I came in expecting that but she drives this whole movie. She's the animating force behind it. She steals every scene she's in. The whole pull of the movie is her pushing Arthur to become the Joker. She's just outside the frame whenever she's not in it. Anyone cinematically literate would see this was a very unconventional movie. I'm not surprised at all it's doing better in Europe than in the US. 6

Not the type of movie super-hero movie fans would enjoy (all shade). Not saying that the movie is incredible but the hatred its getting is definitely disproportional. I felt frustrated with the lack of Gaga scenes where she gets to just act instead of singing and acting. Edited October 7 by SweetOreosOfHeaven 1
Infernal Paradise Posted October 7 Posted October 7 The Guardian highlighting Gar Quote ...while the title seems to promise a dual focus and fresh blood in the form of Gaga's Lee Quinzel, in practice, she is very much a secondary character who earns next to no screen time on her own and suffers from thin writing and cursory characterisation. It's a testament to Gaga's weapons-grade charisma and star quality that despite all this, Lee's scenes are electrifying and she lands every last line like a punch. Quote The musical sequences, inspired by everything from black and white 1940s spectaculars to tacky Vegas-style variety shows, are the moments that lift the film – particularly those with Gaga front and centre. Not only is she a fascinatingly treacherous and fundamentally untrustworthy character, she can belt out That's Entertainment with the best of them. It's in the courtroom segments, in which Lee is relegated to the back of the public gallery, and the already indulgent screenplay further slackens, that the film's running time really makes itself felt. Yes Gaga, yes C.U.N.T.S. (Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, Talent, Star quality) 11
