Beyonce been using the same runs in moments of DIL, 1+1, etc from night to night...that doesnt mean its lipped b/c its consistent

people have learned the DIL run...it was a whole social media challenge so why wouldnt it be executed like we heard?

DIL climax is not lipped whatsoever...Dubai, Stockholm, Atlanta, and LA versions are all distinctly different from each other. Plus the start & stop with the crowd interaction. It's been live every time.

Further to the comparison clips I posted above, my honest take is that the climax is likely a blend of being initially live and lipped by its culmination.

There are just too many variables at play that, IMO, would affect the last (and most demanding) part of the vocal. Specifically, her securing herself in position and being propelled high on a narrow, shaky platform. All the while sounding note perfect and, IMO, the exact same (in that portion of the song) each time she does it.

I will happily stand corrected if it's proven to be totally live, because I know she's that good. But that's my personal guesstimate.

BTW, deffo not intending to make this some big debate. As there is zero shade in my take. I'm actually ripping it on MP3 as I type lol. Live, not live, partially live, or whatever lol.

(from 2.40 onwards)

I know Bey and pre-recording is a testy topic and one that seems to get some of the girls agitated. But, as someone who LOVES her commitment to giving an epic SHOW, I've always been really blown away and fascinated by the audio aspects of her concerts. The blend between live and not live is so seamless it's scary (in the best way). Bey and her musical directors over the years are unmatched.

Stockholm and Atlanta were definitely different. If you compare the 3:02 bit of ATL to the Sweden show, you'll notice one is head voice, the other is falsetto. Atlanta and LA seem to be the same tho.

I think the full ATL ending was live and then that version was used for LA while she lipped. Still, for both ATL and LA she repeated the first part of the run like 3 times live before the lipped section which is when the riser starts going up. (2:10 - 2:40)

@Cbreezy These are very clearly not the same. Timestamps are embedded in both videos.

I hope there’s no poetry monologues in the Renaissance film. Keep the transitions between songs when they’re already perfect. Don’t insert anything between the songs. It works for Lemonade, but not for Renaissance

The only spoken word monologues in the visuals (assuming they actually get released) should be done by Kevin JZ Prodigy.

I need some of the spoken bits from the live versions released officially!

fr it’s really the one that aged the worst and it was top 5 for me when the album came out… it’s the corny chorus i fear cause the "it’s so good" part is still heavenly :deadbanana4:

She had a good idea with it, good beat, great sample but ruined it making the whole song about Jay Zs dick again. It should have been a campy empowering anthem.

I can’t believe Bey’s team really planned and thought the only thing that will keep the fans gagged every night is outfit changes. The tour thread isn’t even poppin because people have nothing to discuss and the tour is coming to an end soon and she will disappear.

Meanwhile Taylor’s about to put a film into theaters

I didn't really have the experience of loving a song more after the tour.

My top 5 since the beginning has remained the same (AHAP, VG, ITG, PH, Cozy) and my bottom 2 stayed the same (CI and SR). The CI's and SR's performances didn't change anything to me tbh.

I really loved the album's experience. Those songs are at their best there. And tbh if I discovered VG and AS during the tour, I wouldn't have loved them that much. She made them a bit dull and their performances don't do them justice imo.

And it's a complete waste of a tour closer, it just feels like credits rolling versus an actual climax :sorry:

let's speak on it!

before the tour began I was fully expecting CUFF IT-ENERGY-BREAK MY SOUL to be the encore like it would have left the crowds on such a high.

Poetry may be gone, but I doubt you're getting the same album transitions. It's a completely different body of work, there has to be room for narrative etc. It's not going to be a 62min film matching the album beat for beat, expect connected story telling, some extended renditions, some songs shorted etc especially since it's coming so long after the album expect newer mixes like we got with some BIK songs

Still love the intro they added to FYWB

Do we have a list.

Edit to the previous comment : I had forgotten AUIYM. That performance kinda blew my performance, most of the performances on tour also did but that one did make me like a song I already liked a bit more.

Not gonna lie, I would be LIVID if I showed up at the Renaissance Tour and saw Lil Wayne, like actually pissed.

I DO not want to give him money and YES he is a homophobe.

HUGE oversight and Twitter is picking up on it FAST.

DJ Khaled literally brought out Lil Wayne and Offset.

Wiz is cool, Coi is cool and so is the other one... forgot who it was, but Wayne and Offset are chops for this experience.

Wayne is a not a good dude in the slightest, especially not towards black or gay people.
