Growing each year :clap3:

:clap3:It just needs better playlisting. Spotify is so boring with the same songs at the top every year.

She needs to work with Apple and do something with the Apple Vision Pro

when she actually does and takes us on a ride through her coochie like the RWT intro.

I think it'll be more of an interactive Netflix visual and the billboards are the navigation/menu :lakitu:

Ngl, the "Been Country World Tour" sounds like such an ICONIC Tour Name! :deadbanana2:

It's literally SO pointed and in your face. It's Southern AF too basically using what the Racists have been saying about her, and just using it against THEM. I love it!

These stupid a** MFers really think being Country is about making Country music, when it's literally about being FROM the Country. Being FROM the South. That meaning, she can still make Country music cause it's in her blood. And as someone who literally also lives in Texas (only 2hrs away from Houston), she's 100% right.

I just think it's funny watching these YT raisins claim Beyonce isn't country when their ancestors came from the dried up Nordic tree! While Beyoncé's were probably Slaves and worked in the South.  :deadbanana2:

Now why did the base become extra dead after the halftime announcement?

Bey finally gave us something straight out of a delulu hive fever dream (a LIVE performance for her latest album - which has songs begging to be performed live, that too on a national holiday, live streamed on THE biggest and most global streaming platform, for a one of a kind - trend setting new performance category) and the base moving slower than Lemonade streams.

Hive so used to complaining and bitching and being irritated at her antics that we don't know what to do with ourselves right now...LMFAOOOOOOO

Question: What do ya'll prefer/vote for in terms of the opening song for the halftime show? Ya Ya or American Requiem

I personally can't decide cuz both would be amazing. Maybe AR can be a better closer with Ayyyyyymmmeeeennnn. But the do you hear me opening is more epic.

Also I NEED Linda Martell to come and announce YA YA, basically perform her interlude.

Spoiler

I will be burning my stan card if Bey skips either of these songs cuz I would know she aint right in the head and hates us -- just for a few days tho

Open with smash hit Texas. She needs to win over the audience early then transition to other songs.

Monthly reminder we need Bey to do a live-action acting role again. Preferably a musical. I will die by my opinion that she was actually amazing in Dreamgirls.

True. Not only that but she was excellent in Cadillac Records. That film low-key has a cult niche following.

Do you think Netflix and Bey could drop a 20-30 second teaser for the performance? Just to get fans and the press buzzing? Maybe drop it ten days before the show

I don't think that'll happen.

We'll get info when she starts rehearsing in the stadium.

Both of y'all capture my sentiments lol.

We finally have something to talk about and yet it's crickets.

I think the not knowing of the format etc makes it hard to wrap one's head around it all. Almost like Coachella because beyond knowing she was performing, we actually had no frame of reference as to what it was gonna give. So I loosely recall us all kinda "posting as usual" on here around that time and we were blown away all the more when it was the slay it ended up being.

For me, I think it's also a case of managing my expectations. I literally am one of the stans that REALLY care and am invested in the nuances of Bey's overall operation. My head is abuzz with the following:

Who is creative directing?

Who are the choreographers? Who are the dancers?

Are rehearsals underway?

Is it a conventional Halftime in scale? Is it longer? Shorter?

Is it live or is it pre-filmed? A mixture of both?

As longtime Hive (shoutout to the other BeyHive Board folk), times of past would have seen some insider tea spilled ahead of Halftime (especially around things like rehearsals, commissioned dancers, choreographers etc). These days not so much.

So in knowing that the answers to the above almost certainly won't come until the performance itself, I'm cautiously and patiently just...waiting.

I imagine that if more commercials, teases drop then there will more activity.

Very random...

But does anyone else wish Beyonce would do a joint album or even EP with another big Urban act that isn't Jay?

I find Hip-Hop consumption, in particular, in the streaming era really fascinating.

Kendrick's numbers are huge and granted he benefits from the Drake drama, I legit think he'd be looking at a similar buzz had he just dropped randomly anyway. Same with the likes of Travis Scott and Tyler The Creator. Not to say she should go near them acts specifically, but it's food for thought. Both the commercial and creative potential.

Random musing of a Chart Hive, who equally would like to see Bey rip up the rulebook with her catalog a bit.

I always looked at B7 (before we had full concept of the Acts) as symbolically being a number completion. And not to say there wouldn't be 8th, 9th etc blockbuster solo projects. But just 7 solid, chart-topping projects of her "playing the game" as a Pop star. Thereafter, I wanted to see her just go more left with ish she hadn't done before. Like EPs, 3-track drops, collab projects, and concept albums. Not to the point of being excessive but in a way that sees her continue to be an unpredictable disrupter (and racking up hits etc along the way).

Even beyond Urban, imagine the (commercial) collapse should she drop a 3-track-pack with a Miley for example. On some "Cowboy Carter Presents: The Three Ring Rodeo" ish to still tie it to the album. Or an evolved version of the standalone drop Bruno and Gaga did e.g. dropping a mini-EP with him after all these years of us wanting even one collab.

Act III will take us to B9. I would like to think some of the above will be more feasible after then, especially if she plans another break but wants to stay visible in the market and feed her streams.

Imagine a surprise drop titled "RnB" by Rihanna and Beyonce painting the past and future of RnB music.

I dont know exactly what it would sound like, but I know streaming records would be broken :jonnycat:

Hmm... No offence but this doesn't stir anything within me.

Similarly, I struggle to see her do a full project with another artist - simple because I do not really consider them on her level. And similarly with Riri. She's a hitmaker sure, but B is on a completely different artistic plane, moreso since this act's trilogy where bey has become unchained and unleashed, she is out here breaking all conventions of genre's and pushing her voice to never before places.

However... I would LOVE a joint project where B works with some legendary producer like Hans Zimmer. Similar to how Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard worked together for the original Gladiator film (and created straight up magic). This has been a dream of mine because it would be two giants meeting and I think Zimmer would push Bey into new teerritories while B would offer musical instinct, experience and an instrument (in her voice) that Zimmer has never had before.

I was just thinking of someone whod basically guarantee bombastic reception (commercially speaking)

Artistically, I'd agree with u.

A fusion of classical music and RnB/HipHop would be insane. :jonny6:

That's the thing.

My gut and history have me largely convinced she will exceed our expectations.

BUT...there's that little bit of the rational/adult in me that kinda has that mentality of preparing for all possibilities. So, being blown away, being decently satisfied, being slightly underwhelmed.

As said above, it's the literal lack of intel on the format that makes it hard to settle on any one stance.

She could give us the grandest, most jaw-dropping thing ever and we'll be gagged.

At the same time, I think I personally would be disappointed if it's short, overly pre-taped, or doesn't feature songs from her wider discography. I LOVE CC, but this is just as much a moment to plug the album as it is a GP moment. She has a bunch of newer GP faves that haven't received the Halftime treatment and may never again. Drunk in Love, Cuff It, BMS, Savage...so would be cool to see her sprinkle some aspect of them in amidst the yeehaw of it all.

Maybe I got used to Bey's pace, but I really want to see more from this era. The upcoming performance, hopefully a tour, a remix or two (maybe released after the Grammys) don't sound unrealistic. I want more of course (maybe a guest feature on someone's album) but not ready for a whole new album. I don't want her to become like Drake releasing all the time new albums and singles, oversaturating the market (which is not her at all anyway).

her and Kendrick would be an instant classic. they already love to collaborate, and I believe that they compliment each other well. their existing songs don't showcase what they could do together

another artist that would make magic with her is Frank Ocean. just look at their existing collabs. and my long time dream collab for her is Janelle Monae

I hear you, but I think this is where my Chart Hive'ness kicks in.

The reality of the matter is that there actually isn't anyone truly equally yoked with Bey at this stage.

So, as much as I like that she rightfully treats herself as the premium she is, it's not much fun propping her up on so much of a pedestal where collabs with others who perhaps primarily excel in other areas (e.g. commercial darlings) is off the table.

She's also shown that she is ready, willing, and occasionally wanting to swoop down from the clouds to snatch a quick set of hits (e.g. Savage, Mi Gente, Perfect).

So, IMO, I'd like to see her evolve her "quick lil hit" approach in an innovative way with mini projects that still feel grand on paper.

Doing a whole album with a Rih, for instance, probably won't happen as Bey is a hands-on creative and Rih...isn't lol. But the semantics of even mini-project (for the culture) and the sure-fire hit potential, would make me all on board. Same for a Bruno, a Miley (if in the land of CC), Kendrick, and similar.

Bey is all about innovation and one thing I've clocked is that very rarely do the collabs "everyone wants" deliver in totality when it's a one track thing.

MJ and Janet's Scream actually isn't as big of a US hit as people think and it got its flowers as the years passed on. Same with Whitney and Mariah's When You Believe.

So, I think going the multi-track route lessens the pressure on any one song to smash and gives multiple opportunities for something (or all of it) to stick.

Knowing her, she's probably been rehearsing since late Summer. |

I would love for her to drop some BTS leading up to the show. The initial creative meetings, etc.
