If you disagree, explain WHY @Chris @Burn @Devin @Joaco95 @Negiiiii @ScorpiosGroove @kimberly @Kristie Kuwa @Triton @RedOne @alien superstore @Mitsouko @TizTiz @Likingstars @cloudbusting @Lose My Breath @SashaDevachelli Please note that if you are not tagged it doesn't mean you can't participate. I just dont remember everyone's names I don't even know where to start with this one. It's definitely her best album, even if it isn't my favourite of hers. It's her most sonically diverse, and absolutely nailed the landing on all of the genre swings (even if some of the songs are now dated). Depsite all of the genres she explores on the album it's undeniably cohesive and brilliant as a project in totality. SORRY is unfairly derived but is as much a precursor to Rennie as DADDY LESSONS is to Cowboy Carter. The project encapsulates the entire Yonce project (feminism, obsession with hetero-monogamy, black pride, etc) and also demonstrates her totally encyclopaedic knowledge of music history with the samples in Hold Up, Freedom, 6 Inch etc. It's her most successful concept album, too, offering a fantastic and easy-to-follow insight into her psyche and relationship after an entire career of overt privacy. I'm trying to focus on why the album is good musically, rather than why the visual accompaniment is top tier, or why the ERA was her best. But I could have those conversations, too. 2
alien superstore Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Also Forward is NOT a skip. Just because something is a transition doesn't make it a skip. If you're listening to the full project and skip Forward you're not only missing the actual part of the album which transitions from personal to political, but you're also missing out on a really interesting piece of music that seamlessly connects two great tracks. 2 2
Negiiiii Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Partition goes so HARD. FunFactThursday : this morning I went to Devialet to change all of my speakers for my living room. The guy starts his selling ceremony and he's like « let me play a song for you to see how loud our system is » and I'm like « no no I know exactly how my songs sound like can I play one of mine ? » and I play Yoncé. now he laughs and tells me « we calibrated all of our system using Beyoncé's Parition (Yoncé part) and Im not kidding because this is actually the song we use as test to show the potential of our speakers » 3

Burn Posted August 1 Posted August 1 BREAK MY SOUL No it's really Crazy In Love. Simple yet effective. Formation and Run The World are great vids too.
Negiiiii Posted August 1 Posted August 1 RTW. That budget went UP UP UP. I love everything about the music video. The choreo, the outfits, the background, everything blown me away. Single Ladies is also iconic but in a very simple way. I'm going with RTW. 1

SashaDevachelli Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Break my soul's mv I think is her best one and the one that best represents who she is as a person and an artist. It always plays in my head at all times it truly is her magnum opus in her videography. THE is a close second, the Jojo Siwa cameo brought it down for me 2

Redporus Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Personally, I think its Texas Hold Em' there is just something about the unique blend of iconic country western elements and modern takes all weaved into an amazing gumbo and visual stew that leaves audiences full and satisfied.

I just dont remember everyone's names Easily Formation. That was quite possibly the biggest gag of her career with the clear reference to Katrina and Police Brutality. #2 Single Ladies #3 Deja Vu 1
