listened to Lemonade in full today

can't believe some of you hags call this 'boring' when it has Hold Up, Don't Hurt Yourself, 6 Inch, Daddy Lessons, Love Drought, Freedom, All Night, and Formation...

Pray You Catch Me and Sandcastles might be 'boring' but I love them anyway, especially PYCM.

Forward (interlude) is the only real skip on this masterpiece

Vocally everything from her debut to Music Box/Merry Christmas is definitely her best but I think because she really stepped up her artistry with Daydream and (in particular) Butterfly fans appreciate those albums more. Plus MB is more like a bunch of songs thrown together to make an album (a Whitney tea) but from Daydream she really started making ALBUMS (like Bey did with 4).

Understood but I mean the title track alone… Everything about how Mariah SOUNDED in the 90s plays a huge part in why she's as respected as she is today. At least for me…

not a Lamb and haven't heard all her albums but I need to say Caution is that girl...

Caution is great. It still does not belong in the same conversation as her 90s catalog.

"LEMONADE" is such a MASTERPIECE, while still boasting incredible authenticity. It feels so personal, almost as if she having a conversation with fans (HOLD UP; SORRY; FORMATION) and Jay directly (SANDCASTLES; LOVE DROUGHT; DON'T HURT YOURSELF; ALL NIGHT).

She exhibited an unusual amount of pain and vulnerability, instead of vague relationships songs and women empowerment songs. Whether you're listening to the album or watching the film, you understand that the album is more of feeling to experience, rather than an album to run through. I don't think any of the songs are boring, but an emotional roller coaster one might not want to embark daily. Even "FOWARD" plays a part in the albums experience for me.

It's a well thought out, masterfully produced concept album, unlike "I Am. . . Sasha Fierce" or "COWBOY CARTER". The album is heavy enough for the concept to be fully realized, but the message is not overbearing the music. The concept is not abandoned midway through the track list, nor do songs feel out of place for the sake of being 'genre bending'.

Seeing how she was going to preview or perform "FORMATION" and "SORRY" in 2015, I believe waiting to thread each song to it's own visual chapter plays a huge part in how the music is experienced. The album being so personal, to the point it could've drummed up more issues in her marriage had they not worked hard in counseling, it makes sense to the release the visuals and go on tour in the same week. "LEMONADE" wouldn't have been so effective had she been doing interviews crying or running from paparazzi with her daughter. It's makes a stronger statement seeing her proudly release her most vulnerable music while healed.

"LEMONADE" is far from boring, it's literally perfect

I pity the POTS haters.

OT: Hold Up and Sorry are literal ****. It's also because of them that I am an OLH, sorry not sorry (pun not intended).

A quick reminder that last year Beyoncé herself brought back to life deep cuts like Rather Die Young (a song that she LOVES btw) while she completely ignored her sixth album, which is a powerful statement in its own, isn't it? That's why I get triggered when someone criticizes the way she operates. Let her sing the songs that she enjoys and call it a day.

Is CC boring or do we lack patience....

because lyrically, vocally, and production wise it's some of her most mature and complex work  :biblio: Objectively speaking, AR, 16, Daughter, & Yaya are some of the best songs in her career

Absolutely.

But I do think her rollouts are causing disinterest in her music, too.

Objectively speaking, which Beyonce album is the MOST BORING and why?

@Triton @RedOne @alien superstore @Mitsouko

Please note that if you are not tagged it doesn't mean you can't participate. I am just be tagging the active hive :-*

DIL's ballads are phenomenal (mostly). TCIGTY is magic.

B"Day has flaws but being boring isn't one of them.

IASF...there are boring ballads for sure

4 has I Snooze You and Rather Fall Asleep but the rest of the album is phenom.

Self-Titled is fierce.

Lemons has no skips (Forward isnt a skip at all, if you're listening to the album and skipping Forward you're a loser)

Obvi Rennie and CC aren't boring, even tho CC is bloated it's not boring.

So yeah, IASF i Guess

4 - Cowboy Carter is a hell of a run, all are brilliant albums

You might be skipping Forward only because the title suggest you so, watch out - the track is v interesting imo

The best thing about Lemoné is that almost each track has its own identity and the whole alberm still flow really well. So it deliveries a diverse and concise body of work, which is totally the opposite of Cowboy Carter for example, so how can it be boring?

we let it tank? She sat on the visuals for over a year until hype died... not that there was much hype considering the only promo the album had was an instagram post
