I get it if in six months there's still no follow up, but also... does it seem to matter? RENAISSANCE had very slow naming of singles and then stopped when it could have had at least two more...and yet, COWBOY CARTER has built upon RENAISSANCE'S success without really trying. If Beyoncé is content, I am content. She's built her career to no longer be reliant on singles. That is well-proven at this point. And yet we are acting like she is reliant on singles. She's 27 years into her career having a re-peak perhaps unlike anyone ever has had this far into their music career...she's already outdoing what she "should" be doing for a woman of her age not trying to follow trends and get easy hits.

 

All I require is quality, and we've got that and more.

I honestly think this is true   Maybe not the exact plot, but it's clear she gets abducted and sent back in Renaissance. There's a clear thread between the radio and news and "Whoever controls the media controls the mind"

let my inner nerd come out for a second: the "K" in KNTY (and KNTRY) is actually a real life TV/radio station naming convention. stations in the Western half of the US start with a "K" while the ones East of the Mississippi start with a "W." Like KQED in San Francisco and WNYC in New York.

Something I've noticed in the last few years is some people have no ability to simply enjoy things anymore.  I'm all for dissecting lyrics, but people are constantly looking for the hidden meaning in everything.
