yonsé Posted March 29 Posted March 29 also DIXSON, RAYE, and other collaborators she was working with during The Gift/Be Alive are on this album. definitely makes sense that this came first for her. she's been working on it for so long
qurl Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Protector being dedicated to Rumi …… i burst into tears if i think too much about it 1
cloudbusting Posted March 29 Posted March 29 ooh my favorite local record store kinda ate with this 4
simon Posted March 29 Posted March 29 This album is so breathtaking. It will probably take me months to process this project. 1
Bethenny Frankel Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Loved the album, Bey is at her best here. Only miss for me is the Jolene cover.

ZeroPoint Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Sorry if AP but I went to the f.y.e. by my house this morning and they don't even have this in their system/they aren't expecting to receive any CD's or vinyl (which the manager I talked to thought was odd since they had a ton of Renaissance stuff come in) Do we have any confirmation that Target is going to have this eventually or is it all speculation at this point

It should be what you felt and thought about it the first time you listened to it. You haven't built a bias yet. You haven't gotten used to the record yet. It hasn't grown on you yet. It's the most objective one will ever be. 1
tiagol88 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Im starting to think my Beyonce album trinity will be the 3 acts one day if she keeps outdoing herself like this. Its like she was training her entire career up until Black Parade / Lion King soundtrack for this trilogy. I don't know how to say it differently. 4
Massive_Teardrop Posted March 29 Posted March 29 This album is by far her strongest work. I'm just truly floored at the enormity of this woman's imagination 1

The track proper doesn't "finish" on its own (although the transition into Louisiana is seamless). Even the lyric video on YT just ends abruptly in the middle of her vocal. It's triggering my OCD something fierce and idk how it didn't trigger hers 1
Jon Snow Posted March 29 Posted March 29 she needs to pair YA YA and Suga Mama live i'll give her all my money 3 3
Reverie Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I was already thinking the album would become my most played of hers from songs like Bodyguard and Alligator Tears and then the Linda Martell Show kicked in my god. Like good god And she's always been one of the absolute best at layering and stacking and arranging but she's still getting better at it and developing her unique sound further? The entire section of Riiverdance onward is just a choir of herself and is just the best sound ever....like her signature sound is just the sound of heaven itself 2
Kristie Kuwa Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Blackbird being so high on ITunes and AM, yet people want it erased. And no, its not just because of placement because its far ahead of American Requiem. Quality ALWAYS wins 1
