Then Say My Name and Jumpin', Jumpin' came out Any of y'all remember Carmen? It could've easily went 10-20 on BB with a really cute, cheesy video. The honestly fits "Dangerously In Love" more than "B'Day" in my honest opinion, but it still works fine before "Upgrade U".

There was more than enough excitement for the singles and pre-orders for the album and vinyls. Doesn't matter as to which cover was printed as of yet. By now, there should've been a tracklisting on Apple/iTunes with at least the number of tracks, just to keep the momentum going. ESPECIALLY after the covers and the post gained traction across social media and television. Considering the most they could do to an album held for 5 years and already tracked to visuals, besides cleaning up, adding features or instrumentation, I don't understand why the most basic things she'd do in the first place weren't aligned already with a #1 wotld wide hit and a critically acclaimed song. It's literally THE LEAST to be done. 4

PrudenceHCharmed Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Will be listening to her discography starting from DIL and will include Homecoming & The Gift. The Carter and Destiny's Child will be excluded (I never listened to DC's discography though )

I was in college and made ALL my friends come over and watch The survivor album was another milestone in my stanning. The first B album I got!! It was for my 10th birthday. The only thing I cared about lol As for me, "4" was the first album that I bought. Imagine stanning B at her lowest, and you'll never see her name inside the top 10 or #1 on the Hot 100 until 2020s. 1

PrudenceHCharmed Posted March 25 Posted March 25 My first memory was If I Were A Boy, that was the first song that made me interested in her although I kinda knew her from Beautiful Liar and Irreplaceable. Then, came "Halo", I heard it on the radio and I knew from that day that I'm gonna stan this woman. "Halo" was inescapable back then. The radio literally played it every hours! "4" was the first album that I bought, using my own money. I listened to RTW like it was a smash back then. End of Time was one of my fav track at the time and Glastonbury was one of my fav of all time. 1 1

They purposefully decided to opt for this rollout and against your ideas for their reasons - let it go and just take it as it comes. 5 1
cuteboyzay Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I will say IF Beyoncé had Pre-orders up IMMEDIATELY as soon as the Super Bowl commercial was over, we'd be looking at a 600k opening . Like almost definitely lmaoooo!!! 4

CallumDavies Posted March 25 Posted March 25 (edited) I had always known their hits but my earliest memory of Destiny's Child is Bootylicious. It was smashing in the UK and everyone at school was trying to learn the lyrics. No one understood what 'jelly' meant 💀 The first physical single I ever bought was Crazy In Love. I still have that CD. Edited March 25 by CallumDavies

No one is touching Bey. Thanks for sharing. I was really let down by Dissect podcast. It beggars belief that they dedicated a season to Black is King but Ren didnt even get a first impressions episode . Just started working my way through the Rolling Stone podcast. Thankfully plentiful Bey content there. 14 hours ago, Space&Time said: Okay, back to Cowboy Carter. How about a survey. Quote your answers and let's discuss! 1. When you hear CC, do you think you will: A) Be immediately blown away B) It will have to grow on you C) You are not going to like it (perhaps due to the genre) 2. Beyoncé will release the visuals A) Within a week of the album release B) Sometime within the era while it's fresh C) Not until all 3 Acts are complete 3.Cowboy Carter will likely produce A) Two more # 1 hits B) Another #1 hit C) A couple of Top Ten hits 4. Texas Hold 'Em is likely to be: A) The worst song on the album B) A cute bop and useful song to the tracklist C) The most commercial song on the album 5. The CC era will likely be: A) Her most successful since IASF B) On par with Rennaisance C) On par or below "4" status A - loved 16C on first listen and THE grew exponentially on me. I was more apprehensive about Ren based on BMS alone. C - I'd rather not burden my mind with gut expectations. C - just being realistic again. Not expecting Bey or Parkwood to tighten the reins any harder this time. It will be same ol coasting promo. B & C - I think both are likely, not mutually exclusive. B - to be on the safe side. If she hired Matthew back or some shark mgmt, I'd consider IASF notions but as is, no sign to expect a 180 in the mgmt of the music. It's gonna be back in the trenches in here once the novelty of the album wears off. Already seeing the inevitable "act iii/visuals don't exist" posts. 1
