yes but the era was announced with preorder and they were on sale for longer, it also had comeback hype. the announcement of cc preorder was less of a big deal, especially since the album was already announced weeks before.

i'm not trying to be negative i just wonder if cc will have enough time to sell on par with ren. streaming will definitely be great though

You get it. She released the pre-orders way too late to match the Act 1 numbers or to even top them.

I predict 150-200k first week.

No, right now it qualifies as a solid quick hit that a small amount of people who listen to music know, radio listeners, fans, entertainment people. This hasn't reached the deep trenches yet, it would need live tv performances, that's still the best way to reach audience numbers next to radio.

She actually managed to make me forget TV performances exist. My godness a SNL performance of Texas would absolutely destroy us

THE would be 10x bigger with a music video and a live performance.

A country song cannot just organically become this global smash.

People talk about it here in the US quite a bit, but it seems like most are already tired of it lol, at least on my socials and the people directly around me.

The downside to being a viral TikTok and Reels sound is that when people are mindlessly scrolling they're hearing "This ain't Tex- This ain't Tex- This ain't Tex" 100 times in a row and it starts to grate :rip:

still thinking about this song

Here it is:

I think this is Act III: Blues/Rock with a smidge of Gospel, but It might be Act II if she samples this and takes a 1-2 track jaunt on Cowboy Carter into Southern Gothic Blues/Gospel. :alexz:

At this time in 2 Fridays I will probably be on my 18th listen of Cowboy Country :jonny5:

I know the main vocals were from this but I'm talking about the underlying harmonies and muffled vocals. Seems to be from something else, no?

Oh, what I wouldn't give for a Lovecraft Country themed visual

But Bey would've been much more.played out till album release if she always maximized her visibility. There is benefit to her ways - she rarely, in the GPs eyes, gets overplayed/overconsumed

Yes. It's like she made her own DOPE chopped and screwed remix. :dancehall: It would be awesome if all of these little bits and pieces of songs/instrumentals were used in the score of the visual film to transition between her formal songs. This one and that instrumental from her 2020 Covid-19 message (below) must be for something. Can't wait for the inevitable Easter Egg reveal.

I would love for this to happen but I’m always cautious with these speculations. From memory last time, it took a long time for the boxes to sell out, the fourth was the only one that was relatively quick. Considering that was for a far smaller quantity, I’m going to remain cautiously optimistic.

I do think the streaming numbers will be higher than her 42 million last time, so that with even similar sales to last time bodes extremely well.

@Devin we need your predictions again like last time.

Where is @Devin during all this and why doesn’t that POTS loving degenerate have the CC album thread?

It annoys me it’s not a Stan who has the op for threads like that.

how many are left in the US?
iirc she waited until everything sold out last time before revealing the standard version which was then available for preorder on other sites. This time we might not have the time to wait :rip:
