Like whether the song is #1 for 2 weeks or for 20 weeks, what different does it make to her? She doesn't need more money. She doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. People are gonna go to her shows regardless. There's nothing to gain. Not everything is about money? she isn't that kind of artist. Nobody said she needed to prove ANYTHING to anyone. The GP being able to be made aware of her new music is important for her catalogue down the line. You wouldn't see classics like CIL, RTW, LOT, etc. getting the streams they are getting if her new music was going unnoticed. I want her discography to have the success it deserves, the credit it deserves and for that to carry on for decades to come, it's simple. 2

I would bet there will be a version of “I’m That Girl” on Act II 4
Rafael Posted March 10 Posted March 10 What are the chances of Nadia Lee Cohen presenting a teaser for the visuals at the Oscars and then Bey announcing it on her IG right after? 1 1

Burn Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Chile not me getting eaten up. Listen. I guess what I’m saying is that there’s no incentive for her to want to do anything above the bare minimum. If we want her to grind hard like she did in the early days then the only way is to stop supporting her and bankrupt her.

I would bet there will be a version of “I’m That Girl” on Act II They constantly misrepresent Bey, just because she doesn't chase #1 hits like certain artists do, doesn't mean success doesn't matter at all. This the same lady that keeps showing up at the Grammys despite their pompous disregard for her albums and artistry in the main categories. I'm far from being chart hive and thats probably because I've been a fan for a long time but I won't sit here let some act as though Bey doesn't care about her album debuting #1 for instance. 4

I have a vision of her announcing a Sphere's concert on March 29. Tickets go on sale directly, filmed and live streaming on Netflix at the same time where she performs the whole album. Physical sales announced with various meet up and signing by Bey for fans around the world... Then I wake up. 5

Triton Posted March 10 Posted March 10 The number one song in the biggest music market in the world, album announced with the help of the biggest televised event in said country… yet no link to buy said song or its parent album. 2
chaeyonce Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Contrast it to when Renaissance pre orders were up It's not normal I'm sorry 1
ReneighIsHere Posted March 10 Posted March 10 The only promo a song needs nowadays is tiktok tbh.. which helped to make texas hold em a hit. Her team did a great job with radio and playlisting too. Of course a video would help, especially from the (ex) visual queen herself, but i think it's clear we are not getting any videos till her music film drops so.. hopefully both act I and act benefit from the release of the visuals, 2 albums in the top 10 would be a gag
swissman Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) 41 minutes ago, chaeyonce said: I get where both sides are coming from but wanting Bey to promote her music is completely legitimate. Also it's high time we stopped like acting success doesn't matter. I think there's a difference between wanting her to promote and being outright nasty and mean-spirited towards her/team team (who are clearly taking her orders). acting like they're all a bunch of fools. And I don't think success really matters to Beyoncé anymore so it shouldn't to us. She's had enough success in her long career to firmly cement herself as both an icon and a legend. Everything else now is bonus success and since she doesn't seem to be struggling to get it (TH'E and CUFF IT being hits with barely any intervention from her/her team), it also seems unlikely that she's going to feel the need to do more, and thus expecting more is just winding yourself up to get upset. It's beyond clear at this point that she's not outright seeking chart success. If we didn't understand that from the RENAISSANCE era we could look at The Gift. And we if didn't get that from The Gift we can look at Everything is Love. And if we didn't get that from Everything is Love we can look at Lemonade. And if we didn't get that from Lemonade we can look at BEYONCÉ. It's been over 10 years that in every era she's made clear choices that reduce or eliminate her chances of success, and no handful of times she didn't sabotage suggests she regrets tossing out the Matthew-Knowles-Handbook she diligently followed for 17 years. imo we should just focus on the success we have and not bemoan or wish we had success we don't, especially when the art is still amazing. Yall are exhausting! Do yall not see the fact that other stan bases are seething that they can't jump for joy over the fact it fluctuating in its 4TH WEEK!? Then survived the week it was taken off Tik Tok. Bey WON! On top of Beys first #1 as a solo act gaining in streaming! This is INSANE! THIS THIS THIS!!!! Some of them are so irritating in this base chyleee. Whew
Kalmanta Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Y‘all acting like March 29th comes and all we get is the album up on all streaming services. Is it weird we are still sitting here without preorders, especially after the Renaissance rollout? Absolutely, but we would be foolish to thing she isn’t cooking something special atm, ready to drop at any given moment.
Bey Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Maybe the bulk of Rennie pre-order sales didn't come in until the last couple of weeks? idk
Ja_making Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Girl at least give us the damn album cover or title, I really don’t know what’s going on over at Parkwood

Burn Posted March 10 Posted March 10 When it transpires that she’s been waiting until 16 days before the album to announce everything just because of 16 Carriages. 13 March it is. 1 1

Blue Rose Posted March 10 Posted March 10 we really let this woman get away with no videos for half of a decade. Hive is so weak. 2006 Hive would’ve found those files already 2
Chris Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Beyonce is 42 and is still one of the biggest household names out there. That is all. 2
