I can see them reach out to Bey to give more power to this movement and Bey will accept the invite and deliver. I think Bey has reached that place again where she is about unity more so than anything else. The preview from the Texas Hold'em video shows that she is in her Single ladies, IASF era mentality with this. I dont think there will be any message about division here. She will just continue to ignore the racists and close minded clowns. They already calling these songs "country-pop" you are in a for a rude awakening

ShouldersSideways Posted February 12 Posted February 12 it's wild going to this page and not seeing renaissance https://music.beyonce.com/
MrPiggyMoka Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Yeah I think she will flop a bit with this album, so get prepared y’all. Anyways I don’t care, I’m just excited we getting more music and hopefully some visuals too 1 1
chaeyonce Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Yup commercially it won't be as successful as Reneigh but I think this has the potential to be a much better album at least for me
Brikenbur Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Everyone thought RENAISSANCE would flop and had lukewarm reactions to “BREAK MY SOUL,” so not paying y’all any mind 4 2 3

I think the country cult hate will shake up that convo a bit more, moreso since Beyoncé is a huge artist so whether reception is good or bad it definitely will shine more light on the weird gate-keeping that happens. Hmm, this could be a real culture shifting move the more I think about it.
SashaDevachelli Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Ok maybe I’m team Texas Hold’em she’s growing on me quickly 1
Kristie Kuwa Posted February 12 Posted February 12 (edited) All thus talk about charts, awards... ugh so unnecessary..do you guys realize we are in a NEW BEYONCE ERA? Also the acts are so much bigger than that. Its about reclaiming former black genres. Herstory is being made. Those twinks on here dont get it - Black female artists are always pidgeonholed into one genre. There has NEVER been a black female like Bey. The way she changes genres, aesthetics, sounds - like the ****?! Shes a literal pioneer. No Aretha, no Etta, no Ella, no Diana, no Donna have ever done what Bey is doing. Shes making herstory and we should make the best effort to let these twinks KNOW They mention Madonna, but as a black female, Bey had it 3 times harder. Thats why Madonna adores Bey. She KNOWS how incredible this is BE PROUD TO ******* STAN A ******* LEGEND Edited February 12 by Kristie Kuwa 7
sleepevaded Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Are we really not getting a digital/streaming release of the renaissance film :(

I think that's a positive sign. 2
KingBeyonce. Posted February 12 Posted February 12 The people saying stuff like "but yall didn't listen to black country artists before now!11" are so silly because even if that is the case, so what? Isn't that one of the benefits of a mainstream artist of her caliber experimenting with other genres? To introduce new audiences to different music (and in this case, the original audience tbh)? 2

cloudbusting Posted February 12 Posted February 12 they’re too old to be braindead twinks, but the nursing home residents saying Bey’s drawing from Madonna’s Music era are getting on my nerves my fault for checking Reddit but still 1 3

Devin Posted February 12 Posted February 12 i feel like this gonna be her most GP received project esp in the US. 1
ShouldersSideways Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I suggest some of you stop internalizing what people say about her and just accept some will never get Beyonce. Some just don't connect and go out of their way not to. I'm just grateful I do have appreciation for her and I'm not going to let their dour attitudes ruin my experience. 6 1
