I agree. Beyoncé deserved album of the year 4 albums ago.

Time and time again she’s deserved it, and the goal post is ALWAYS changed for people of color ESPECIALLY Beyoncé. And after blondie’s win tonight for AOTY,  what he said was in fact TRUE. No matter how cringed out some of the Hive gets from his remark, there’s a reason why he said it.

If she gets AOTY in the future it would feel like they were pressured to award her. On the other hand, they might wanna stop awarding her because they feel attacked

Does it really matter at this point? She either gets a general field one, preferably AOTY, or no Grammy at all. Whats another RnB Award for her?

Apart from the obvious AOTY especially with her string of albums with acclaim, she’s the most nominated for ROTY ever, and still hasn’t won. That’s the one for years I though she would win first.

Just popping in to fume yet again that Renaissance should have won AOTY. What makes it truly embarrassing is knowing the past two winners albums don’t have 1/10th of the quality she delivered in that record yet here we are :biblio:

After Lemonade, the snubs don't bother me as much anymore. Renaissance barely even fazed me because I knew it was coming. :rip:

They're going to keep going, though. Fans who demand they stay home got the answer tonight; Jay said you have to keep showing up, which is obviously their shared viewpoint.

Jay speech might have spilled but him saying it at the Grammys literally invalidated it. I mean he even joked about it, how are you going to "boycott" but keep attending? :rip:

At a certain point say your piece and stick to it. Every year you keep showing up just makes them care less and less about what they see as your "snide" remarks.

Its the bigger picture - yes, she doesnt have AOTY and yes, she was clearly snubbed multiple times, but she is also now the most awarded singer of all time, emphasizing her greatness. I get where he is coming from and he is basically mocking the Grammys for their stupidity because it just looks very bad on THEM when looking back at Beyonces Grammys that they are mostly in "black categories"

We got a Tayonce interaction tonight according to an audience member just no pic. So please tread lightly I’m not trying to fight Swifties. Let’s talk about our new alliance with Dua Lipa. They appeared to talk the longest tonight.

I agree somewhat with what jay z said. B was snubbed with lemonade but definitely not with renaissance. We had no videos or performances or excitement from fans. So people lost interest quickly.

Also sidenote; we’re so getting a country album next aren’t we? 😂

Jays delivery could’ve been better it got cringe/kanye at the end. The audience didn’t seem to care for Beyoncé at all tonight :skull:. No cheers when Trevor name dropped her and no one was watching her like they normally do. When she left and Ice Spice jumped up to greet her not one person in the audience cared. I think Beyoncé would be more liked if Jay wasn’t also a superstar. People hate seeing two successful people as a couple be so in their face. Time for a divorce album babes.

I’m sad we got no pic with Miley. Miley probably unstanned her sadly

4 AOTY wins is kind of not a good look for that girl.

She already got SOTY.

Only ROTY and AOTY left.

You know whats also not a good look? The Grammys nearing 30 years since the last time a black female won that award (despite the likes of SZA, Rihanna, Bey, Alicia Keys, etc)

All this talk about Act II when we haven't even gotten the visuals from Act I, nor the tour film or live album... I'm not trying to be greedy, but feed me first! :cries:

What's the truth? A billionaire couple that has been together 20+ years and has three children together should get divorced because on one night in one room they didn't get enough applause by your standards? Even though one of them just got off a tour where millions of people bought tickets to scream and cheer for her? That truth?

It isn’t at ALL. And I feel like even Sw*fries don’t even like the fact that she won. Even when blondie heard her name announced she looked confused as h*ll :deadbanana2:.

Because the whole surprise appearance thing and big hoopla around it is tired asf. If fans are tired, imagine non-fans. And no it's not about race because when the natural blonde announced her album the audience was also dead and giving "okay" face in the reaction shots. Tired asf!
