oh they got her ass good, now she’ll HAVE to attend or else she’ll look fake and/or homophobic :gaycat5:

She should attend and give us a riveting pre-written speech on a discoball’d postcard. You know how that thrills us :eli:

She’ll send a 30 second video of Tina in a silver top thanking everyone who made this possible especially the LGBT community and how touched they are to create a safe space, uncle Johnny would be proud. Love you deep!

Is the “o” word actually that bad of an insult? I looked at comments on an article about celebrity cheating scandals. Bey/Jay were on the cover and all 11 comments were saying they’re overrated despite the article going into detail about 50 couples lol. When you really dissect the definition of overrated it’s really not that bad of an insult? I’d rather be called that than untalented, worthless, ugly, etc. and we see other girlies called this more often. No pop girl is immune to these comments and I actually think Beyoncé has the least offensive commentary if you ignore delusional black twitter. The geepee recognizes her talent they just don’t think she’s as great as she’s perceived in the media. That’s fine. She’s not for everyone. Now to go on and on about it is weird.

I don't think it's so terrible as an insult per se, but just something very annoying to deal with because the nature of the comment is such that it's hard to actually respond to it without the person being like "ya, that's why she's overrated". It's like trying to talk someone out of a conspiracy theory. Anything you say to back it up just because fodder for them that explains their opinion.

I do agree though that to be "overrated" you need to have a colloquial rating high enough for anyone to even feel a way about it in the first place. But with Beyoncé it becomes an easy way to try and explain away her legitimate artistic achievements, whereas for others it's moreso about the level of success they enjoy.

i mean. beyoncé likes to have ownership of her material. its possible what she was asking for in terms of ownership or royalties was out of scope from the studio. i feel like j.no cares less about that and was like "sure whatever as long as u buy it"

true this also makes a lot of sense

i still don’t believe it tho :deadbanana4:

stutters? you say this like a slur. She really doesn't stutter, she just keeps her speech cute and short esp when she is emotional.

Yay I’ve always wanted you to dissect my takes with your eloquent paragraphs! The first half is especially true. It’s difficult to rebuttal so that’s why I give up the second someone calls her overrated. Some do it on purpose I’ve peeped.

Honestly this is why idc to see her win album of the year. For some reason I always expected her to break down crying REAL tears. I mean sobbing and spilling tea. “I recorded this album while going through divorce!” Something like that. But seeing her awkward  stuttering speech and cringe “I love you God…. Thank you……………. God” *looks up at ceiling* for her record breaking Grammy… yeah I’m good. Her birthday concert will always be her best speech. I assume she was a little tipsy that night or felt so overjoyed with real love in the room that all her anxiety’s went away for just a moment.

it still blows me that we're near the end of the album cycle with the tour LONG over 2 years later and with not a single video.

i know its like a broken record in here, but like. its just so unlike her. her videos have been her signature for her entire career. like without the single ladies video that song wouldn't be as massive as it is.

its just crazy to me :deadbanana4:

Per www.Beyoncé.com:

"THANK YOU FOR THIS AWARD. ITS MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME TO CELEBRATE THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY AND HONOR MY UNCLE JOHNNY. AND, THE "RENAISSANCE" CONTINUES, WITH YOU AS THE VISUALS. LOVE YOU DEEP. BEY."

Once you click on this message, it will lead you to a new page selling EXCLUSIVE, ALL NEW "RENAISSANCE" merch. There will be a $50 black t-shirt with "WHERE'S THE VISUALS" and "YOU ARE THE VISUALS" printed in silver peal off vinyl.

You're welcome.

bey asked for more money for sure but yeah… i don’t believe in a reality where amazon prime would buy a jlo film but say no to a beyoncé one, no matter what price she was asking for

especially not when prime invested  billion in a series absolutely everybody hated and which flopped hard

Beyoncé creating a 16 video film centered around "RENAISSANCE", of all her albums, boasting no replay value for being too artsy is. . .likely. It being albe to be sold to any of the streaming services she reached out to is not so likely.

The success she's gaing with "HOMECOMING" and "BLACK IS KING", even being a year late with boss releases, isn't something to look over when she's brings a new project to the table. Now 2-2.5yeats late, I don't know about that one. But, I can't see her being turned down by all of her option.

I will say, Jiggaboos trailer is glossy, extravagant and beautiful. . .but I'm not expecting a full film as great from someone with forgettable visual. No shade at all, but Beyonce could definitely pull of a film of videos and not have to worry about being boring or predictable. So I don't believe she was turned down for not having a film just as good or better.

I don't believe money could be an issues because she given up a good chunk of her rights before to streamers and networks. Her concerts and last 2 visual album are still streaming. Now I could understand keeping the creative freedom to do what the he!! She wants to do, but as for money, she's compromised before and things worked out.

Let's take into consideration she's been leaving clues and hints, evan after ignoring visuals statement and preview. Like her hinting at characters in the visuals, DELRESTO cover, Betty Black Tour, her trademark Echoville in 8 classes. I think the visuals may be part of a bigger finale and everybody's either wrong or lying.
