"Partition" was always a cute album track but it's not a great song and nowhere near her greatest singles. "Blow" is unlistenable.

"Drunk in Love" on the other hand is a monstrous electro-R&B symphony and one of her greatest achievements.

Idk best video is a 3way tie between Haunted, Blow and Partition for me.

Also, I was lowkey annoyed at how Drunk in Love was filmed 😂😂😂

Partition was a single though, not just a album track lol. And it's definitely a important track in her discography for her sexy side of songs.

- Mine is still the best song off the album, wow thank you Drake. And Heated best off Renaissance? I see a pattern.

I would like to remind everyone that Drake had nothing to do with the best part of "HEATED," he only had a tired beat and ok hook (that he struggled to sing).

HEATED take: it would have been bottom half on the album if she did not come in and SERVE in the last bit of the song. :chick1:

Oh yes. The outro definitely swoops in and saves the song from being just “cute”.

During one of the Blow performances during Formation Tour, when Beyonce was about to sing the chorus, I think some hair strands got stuck in her mouth or something and then on the big screen you can see them like zoom in on her as she tries to get the hair strands out of her mouth and then she follows with "Everybody say yeahhhhhhhhh".

- I now appreciate XO in a different way since the emotional KB tribute.

LMAO have yall heard this story? I know it’s old but I found out via someone commenting they wish Beyonce continued making the dance video game she was working on.

https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/beyonce-sued-for-100-million-by-video-game-maker-471850/

Thus further confirms her erratic behavior when working on projects. In fact I came across a TikTok the other day of someone who made a personalized couch purse for Beyoncé and it was requested to be made in 48 hours. I need to understand her thought process sometimes. I feel like all these stories are why she’s hated behind the scenes. That would make the most sense to me. But the stories don’t go far because they’re not that juicy like your typical Hollywood diva story. She just rushes **** and always wants more money but at least she’s not throwing phones at people and harassing folks

The company's financial backers ran out of money in the middle of game production, and I don't see Beyoncé bankrolling a video game so she bounced and the game was shelved. Didn't she win the court case as well? :coffee2:

It was settled in court. It looks like they ran out because she requested more but idk

I mean this is known and has been discussed and critiqued on here several times this era. She thinks starting and finishing last-minute until the bitter-end is a sign of dedication and resilience but it really isn't.

The way Mine also serves as a teaser for Lemonade :jonny6:

And The Gift “no rest at the kingdom”. Mine has an African beat/dance break to it and this was back in 2013.

'Partition' was always an outstanding album track, it's a great song and among her best singles. 'Blow' is heavenly.

I have to admit im unfortunately also Team "Blow is overrated", especially coming after Rennie where Bey has put out better songs in the vein of Blow (see Cuff It or Virgos Groove)

So y’all, I’m a new member here but LONG TIME overwatcher of this forum lmao!!! And y’all basically helped raise me (I know dramatic) for the last 10 years. Especially as a Bey Stan/Hive Member. :WAP:

And I just want to say, I saw the film for the FIRST TIME today and I CANNOT BELIEVE the MASTERPIECE of that film!!!

I saw her on the Rennie tour and was speechless the whole way through, even after the countless times I’ve watched the live footage. But after seeing this FILM, she’s truly on another level than ANYONEEE else. I can’t even describe her energy, her aura, her BEAUTY. Omfg she is BEYONDDD stunning. She’s just such a bonafide phenomenon/superstar and she is just… UGHHH!!!:deadbanana2:

She needs an Oscar nom or SOMETHING for that masterpiece of a film. I can’t wrap my head around the countless amount of awards she deserves for this. I NEED to see it again, I HAVE TO!!!

Also, I highkey feel we need to tone it down on critiquing her. The only thing I feel she needs to tweak is her promo. That’s literally it. Other than that, I see where her heart is at when wanting to be somewhat “organic” with hype and success because of the quality she delivers.

I’ve had TikToks I’ve made of her go viral (she’s highkey the reason why I have a good following now), and even the slightest mention of her name gets thousandssss/millions of likes and engagement. I think she definitely knows she’s the most polarizing artist of the last 20 years, but with that comes immense amount of backlash even she may have trouble processing sometimes. She has a family to keep an eye out for now. So I get why she holds back on the promo sometimes.

Promise I’m not trying to brag, just giving an example as to why we really shouldn’t have anything to worry about in terms of her pull. Google didn’t lie about her having the most searched performances for yearsss. She’s one of one baby.

They're all amazing and a style at which Beyoncé excels. I'm very grateful for all of them as this and I also think they're all distinctive enough to stand on their own.

Cuff It is very dancey and party-like

Virgo's groove is very sensual and well, groovy

Whereas Blow is a lot more cheeky and playful

The existence of one does not take anything away from the greatness of the other and this is honestly my favorite side of Beyoncé, both musically and artistically. Blow and Virgo's Groove are literally my all time top3 along with Naughty Girl, which is also similar to these.
