All Night should’ve taken I Care’s spot in the opening section and Schoolin Life should’ve been where RDY was

I actually do not mind "Rather Die Young" and I love that after this time, she still looks at "4" as her favorite album. I just don't like it’s setlist placement, kind of like all of the setlist. I really don't see the point of having the song in the album order if they don't-1) don't fully tell the story of the visuals; 2) don't have a purpose in the threading of the documentary. To me, there's so many mash-ups and songs that sound similar that could've worked.

It is time to trim down "I Care" & "Run The World" tho 🤣! They could've honestly been Europe exclusives.

that’s actually a good point, i know we all begged for her to perform every song and in order but that was before knowing that some of them don’t work live, at least not the way they did it

that’s why i wonder how the setlist would’ve sounded and worked if she only kept the highlights from Ren

but then again we probably wouldn’t have known how good cozy and move are live + i don’t know where to put the songs if they weren’t in order (i do know that Alien comes too soon and Summer Ren’s a TERRIBLE closer)

you win some you lose some i guess :rip:

Now "Cozy" could've, literally, been a song that just apears on tour than the album as a gift to fans for not having visuals 🤣 IT ONLY WORKS LIVE 🤣🤣! "Plastic off The Sofa" & "Virgos Groove" we're blatantly disrespected & "Heated" barely survived after being fan favorites. It's beyond interesting how the album worked out live because we won't talk about how sis don't deserve "Summer Renaissance" after the **** she pulled!

OKAY WE'VE RATED LEAD SINGLES, maybe we've done album closers, maybe we've done second singles. Now what about middle-most songs?

RATE THE MIDDLEMOST SONGS:
(NOTE: For albums where there is an even number of tracks, I've selected the second of the middle-two as it begins at the halfway mark)

  • Yes—Dangerously in Love
  • Kitty Katy—B'Day Standard Edition
  • Satellites—IASF Standard Edition
  • Start Over—4 Standard Edition
  • Rocket—BEYONCÉ
  • Love Drought—Lemonade
  • 713—Everything is Love
  • Brown Skin Girl—The Gift
  • Virgo's Groove—Renaissance

  9. Satellites—IASF Standard Edition

The album in order was fastastic imo.

But yeah I do agree RDY would have worked better at the beginning. Maybe switching it with I’m Going Down or 1+1 would have gotten more of an engagement and less of a lull. Start Over or Irreplaceable  would have worked fantastic too there.

looking at it this way, it's interesting to note that most are love songs, most are R&B, and most (if not all) are not bangers.

Summer Ren’s a TERRIBLE closer

it would’ve been perfect had she not cut most of it imo, it’s like a victory lap for the album but she turned it into a little sashay around the podium instead

yeah not cutting half of the song would’ve helped ! her awkwardly sitting on the horse for 5 minutes straight didn’t help either :deadbanana4:

most people not knowing/caring about the song was just so anticlimactic for a closer like you need a BANGER everyone knows and loves

I debate on this constantly, but Kitty Kat is really a contender for top 5 of my fave bey song of all time. It’s just so sexy and flirty, Pharrell’s production is godly I will always respect him for the legend he is. And the VIDEO:jonny: it’s not fair how short it is, so aesthetically pleasing and camp:jonny:
