She is so desperate to make CHURCH GIRL happen :deadbanana4:

LA getting all these new merch… it’s coming for $20M every night

Posted

It would be flipping amazing if it got a Halloween release, especially if it’s Kubrick vibes

She’s the one who said during self-titled era that she was just gonna make her best art, and put it out there. If she really believes in it, she should just drop it. They waited too long for streamers to want to jump on it, especially if they want a theatrical release. When has she ever cared about the commercial side of things. True fans have learned time and time again that since she took over her career they always fumble the bag with released and charts.

Also, I take everything she says with a grain of salt, but I listen to the deux moi podcast, and somebody asked about the visuals and she said someone told her next year would be the release.

If the visuals are really not coming until next year I don’t even know what to say…:deadbanana4: She will deserve every lashing nnnn That’s absolutely ridiculous and I lean on the side of letting her take her time but like what would be the point of visuals for an album that came out two years before :ahh: People would have moved on by then for sure.

Like I said, IF the article about selling the visual is true, I don't think her current strategy for promo is worth the price she's commanding. She's already had big bag HBO, Netflix and Disney deals and those were not blockbuster hits for those respective apps/networks.

And it's no shade to her. We now know that even the top streamers, with the increasing high budget and cost of operations, that they simply don't make as much money. It's now been recently reported why Taylor is releasing in theaters. Apparently the streaming apps were giving her a similar runaround and she and her daddy literally said f that.

So Bey is going to have to get crafty. Honestly, if she's not going with Amazon, whose already sponsoring alot, she should to a limited Imax release or something.

We truly need to hear something when this tour wraps up at the end of the month. We cannot continue to make excuses.

I think you're responding to something I didn't mention in my post though. The post you quoted was about why I don't think waiting for the visuals is so big of deal as fan in regards to the era's success. It had nothing to do with promo strategy, the "price" of the visuals, or even excuses for their delay.

If you want to talk about price value based on promotion, we can, but Taylor is someone who promotes very well and intelligently and still was (apparently by what you've written) not offered a deal she was comfortable with. It's hard to compare without numbers though.

As for the idea that her films were not blockbusters for the services, that may be true, but when I've talked about the "price" of the film I've talked about it in terms of the worth Beyoncé probably assigns to it as her work but also understanding what it means for them to have it on their platform.

Homecoming is a good example of what I mean. Homecoming's viewership was compared to Bird Box at the time. Homecoming got 1.1 million viewers on its first day, Bird Box had 3.4 million. What Beyoncé might lack in viewership to more typical programs she makes up for in demographic. Homecoming had 63% African-American viewership in the first day and 55% in the first week (the highest Netflix had ever recorded for an original series/film). Bird Box had just 24% and was the second highest ever, meaning no other Netflix program had even half the percentage of African-American viewers as Homecoming did. In pure numbers because Bird Box had more total views, that first day amount is about the same total amount of Black viewers, but one is a concert documentary and the other is a feature film that was hugely popular on social media. Similarly, Homecoming had 70% female viewership, higher than the female-led hit Orange is the New Black at 66%. All of this is to say that Beyoncé skews to certain demographics and is able to have about as many Black viewers in one day as a hit with 3x as many total viewers and that is value in itself. Since it is integral for these apps to have a broad range of content that appeals to many types of people, she brings a distinct perspective that much if not all their content lacks. This is a work they will and have re-upped during Black History month in order to not only provide content catered to people, but to show their virtue and support. This is also a white-owned company. I don't think this is lost on Beyoncé, and thus any potential price must surely consider not only what she can bring to them in viewership, but the kinds of viewers and the feather in the cap she provides the service going forward saying "look at us and our content."

The only way to make that work, would be if the visuals are accompanied by visuals for act two. Like it all ties in. I mean she already deserves lashings so I can’t even imagine if it was a 2024 release for a 2022 album.

Well unfortunately Parkwood isn't working out, the artists signed under them are also left to dry out, even Chloe was shady towards them once her album was released and had no support. Now they're sitting on a year old project that no streaming company wants to buy and instead of just releasing it on youtube for the fans, we are left in the dark. You can have creative freedom AND a label who knows how to market your work, there is no good reason why they couldnt send Heated to radio for the summer, no reason why America has a problem wasn't sent to radio when it went viral, why did Cuff It have to be FORCED to be a hit? since she was ready to send "church girls" to radio for whatever reason.

We need someone to tell Beyoncé no, and push her to release SOMETHING. Madonna also signed back to Warner Music just two years ago, so maybe this will inspire her again that labels can work in your favor

Where did you get that no company wants to buy it? can you all not read at all....the person in the article literally was just speculating and gave 3 possible reasons including beyonce not liking the final product.

Honestly, I’m a Church Girl defender. I understand why Giselle wants to shove it down our throats. :swan:

But really, she has like 7 songs left that could top Urban and Rhythmic formats, and get some airplay in UAC and Pop. Church Girl is one of them.

I disagree with you most of the time but you made several points here. Point blank. :clap3:
