Karol G is one of the featured artists. The album will come with a DVD of the visuals like Self Titled. But keep in mind that my sources are the voices in my head. Omgeee.

And yet: -BMS being pushed on radio, BMS (Hive Certified Video), remixes for BMS, Cuff It, AHAP, Visualizers, Cliquebait teasers, lyric videos -A clothing line with pieces dedicated to each song off the album -People from her team implying a traditional rollout -If we’re going by the article’s timeline, we would have gotten a few videos traditionally but instead we’re getting a whole film again, but she doesn’t want to release it without a streaming service paying her the amount she desires. Does she want to be an artist who just drops something, let’s it perform on its own, do nothing, and have doubts that it will do well? Or is she the parkwood exec who wants to ensure a profit is being made by pushing the songs, keeping the album stable, and making sure she gets her moneys worth from these visuals (despite already making a huge amount from box sets, album sales, tour sales, and Dubai)? What does she want? Because as fans it just feels confusing. I was merely making a joke though in the original post and I don’t care THAT much anyways, but that’s just how it seems to me The topic of music speaking for itself is relative to the use of visuals. Any sort of promotion of the music, remixes, visualizer (which is just animated image on a loop) doesn't speak for the music in anyway shape or form, it's only widening the reach and that press release did not say "we will never promote it, the music will promote itself". I highly doubt seeing the CUFF IT cover spin around in circles in a visualizer told anyone anything about the song than they already knew. A lyric video is literally music speaking for itself. The Hive Certified BMS video, months after the song was released was a celebration that exemplifies people's connection to the song (ie, how the music spoke for itself). The only thing that undermines the "music first" is the ITG teaser, which stops after about a minute to let the music (and the rest of the album) continue to speak for itself. The Balmain line also doesn't speak for the music. I can't really understand how it would. It's clothing inspired by the songs and probably no one understood the record more after seeing it. It's the other way around. To understand the clothing you must understand the music. Implying it's a traditional rollout while indeed having elements of a traditional rollout (no surprise releases, advance announcements and first single) doesn't sound like contradiction either. I also would presume that the visuals' "money's worth" is as much getting the expenses covered as is it factoring in the potential worth of the piece as a whole. Art is often greater than the sum of its parts. An artist can splash $3 of paint on a canvas, but if that artist has the cultural caché and is understood to be conceptually genius, they can charge $3,000,000 so being offered $30,000 is going to seem like the buyer doesn't value their artistry/perspective/etc. I see you said it was a joke so I apologize for taking it too seriously, but to me Beyoncé seems pretty consistent in practicing what she preaches (through her practices). swissman Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 (edited) In regards to the creatives who worked on the visuals, it's pretty common for projects to take months or even a year to come out. This is a visual "film". Movies routinely are released a year or more after filming has wrapped, and often involve reshoots. It's also in every creative contract I've ever read that the client reserves the right to not publish the work in the end for whatever reason. If the project is cancelled before your work is complete, usually the contracts stipulate your payment in that scenario. For sure it would suck to be so excited but can't talk about it because you signed an NDA, but unless you didn't read your contracts, there's no surprise about it. It was important that I didn't go to some big management company, I felt like I wanted to follow the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire, and show other women when you get to this point in your career you don't have to go sign with someone else and share your money and your success—you do it yourself." 2021: "I took control of my independence at 27 and started Parkwood Entertainment. At the time, there wasn’t a company that did what I needed it to do or ran the way I wanted it run. So, I created this multipurpose badass conglomerate that was a creative agency, record label, production company, and management company to produce and work on projects that meant the most to me. I wanted to manage myself and have a company that put art and creativity first." I don't really see her dissolving a decade of work just so that we can get more album covers and better quality t-shirts or single sent to radio which does NOT take a major label to do. She seems pretty content with how she's doing things, otherwise she would not be doing them. In this scenario she'd either have to give up her total creative freedom (would she do that just to be under a big label when she already works with Columbia?) OR find a deal giving her complete control, but wouldn't that just get her back to where she was with Parkwood, but with less ownership and splitting the profits with a corporation? Well unfortunately Parkwood isn't working out, the artists signed under them are also left to dry out, even Chloe was shady towards them once her album was released and had no support. Now they're sitting on a year old project that no streaming company wants to buy and instead of just releasing it on youtube for the fans, we are left in the dark. You can have creative freedom AND a label who knows how to market your work, there is no good reason why they couldnt send Heated to radio for the summer, no reason why America has a problem wasn't sent to radio when it went viral, why did Cuff It have to be FORCED to be a hit? since she was ready to send "church girls" to radio for whatever reason. We need someone to tell Beyoncé no, and push her to release SOMETHING. Madonna also signed back to Warner Music just two years ago, so maybe this will inspire her again that labels can work in your favor 2

Madonna also signed back to Warner Music just two years ago, so maybe this will inspire her again that labels can work in your favor what Madonna does works for Madonna. Beyonce is totally different, she has already done the singles release, promotion for a single, performances, etc. ever since '4' she has made it her goal to move on her own time instead of when someone else does. I understand we all want Beyonce to win, but let's keep in mind sis has been doing this for over 20+ years and it gets exhausting. Imagine sending a single to radio, while on tour, tweaking the tour while it's happening, and then having to promote a song at radio. Beyonce has 3 children and genuinely couldn't care less about selling or promoting much of anything. I truly believe she's trying to hold on to what makes her want to do this. we see it all the time how artists become discouraged bc they put so much pressure on themselves to sell records or appeal to their fans. I do believe she's a perfectionist and the visuals are coming, but it's all on her time and it has been like that since '4'. I'm truly puzzled as to why everyone is acting as though all of the sudden she doesn't want to promote. She hasn't wanted to do much promotion except tour and release mv films. she doesn't even do interviews or photoshoots. 1
