giRLbye. Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 "I Miss You" would've been perfect in the opening section 6
Jon Snow Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 I just realized that it was controversial for her to bend in front of Jay Z in Deja Vu video we’ve come a long way
kimberly Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 both of these songs get some flak in the base (sometimes by me), but this performance popped up on my YouTube and just made me cry again. rip Kobe, Gianna & friends. great song choices, incredible arrangement, such diligent changes to the lyrics... one of her best "ballad girl" moments. the geepee forget about stuff like this when they use their whole "so and so is a better singer, Beyoncé just twerks and talk-sings" shtick. 3

KKW Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 I’m so obsessed with that little move Blue does when Bey sings “Honey come around my way, around my hive” during BP

And don’t get me wrong I don’t have a problem with sampling, it’s just they did little to no work to make it sound unique or original compared to Pon De Floor. 1

It was nothing but a failed attempt at recreating an Irreplaceable 2.0. However, I love the vocals and the outro I also adore both Start Over and I Was Here. On top of that, I still consider Run The World to be Bey's best lead single of all times. 2

I need her to perform Start Over live. It would be a vocal peak. 5

Run the World's main issue for me these days is just that it sounds so extremely dated. it came out in 2011 sampling a 2009 song, so it's stuck in a very specific time period. the lyrical content doesn't help with it either — Beyoncé's expression of feminism has evolved quite a bit since then. it's a classic and an anthem, and the choreo is iconic as well. but let's call it what it is! 3 1

Fleahive Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 (edited) Speaking of presidential. Beyoncé’s best stand there in place and sing performance was At Last at Obamas first dance. Yes better than Listen on the Oprah show. This vocal performance felt so magical then and it feels more magical now knowing the state this country is in. There was such a strong energy of togetherness in that room. One of the best moments in AMERICAN history and I hate that everyone forgot it happened. then after that performance was her best interview of all time. She didn’t sound robotic or rehearsed and she cried real genuine uncontrollable tears. It feels like the only time we got to see the true Beyoncé in public. And this is the best version of Beyoncé. When she isn’t overthinking what to say. WATCH IT NOW AND AGREE WITH ME. Edited August 6, 2023 by Fleahive 3
