If you’re not near the stage, stadium shows are dismal :deadvision: I would not mind an arena at all but I doubt she’d deign to play one

If they go with an arena, that’s because their research is showing the demand is arena-level. A LOT of money is invested into market research as it pertains to an artists’ touring demand.

It makes sense that she’d do arenas in some countries and cities as that’s always better optics than performing to half-empty stadiums. That has nothing to do with optics and is all about conducting smart business.

I get you, but this approach doesn't apply to Bey IMO.

I don't see her doing arenas outside of some purposeful, unique hybrid of touring (major stadium spectacle +intimate arena shows).

This is not the Bey of yesteryear who would work overtime to "prove" her hunger with 100+ date tours. These days is "do less for maximum returns". A status she's earned. It's exactly why 40-ish stadium date tours suit her life much more.

She'd sooner totally skip any cities where research shows there "isn't demand" than do an arena show there "just because".

Plus. her shows aren't a small scale affair. It's virtually impossible to adapt something like FWT to an arena and I don't see her scaling back to scrape a few more coins. There's no ROI in that.

So, yeah, it's either totally stadiums or some arenas for a very very specific reason related to the era at large.

Some are just rumors started by whoever and should not be taken as facts. At this stage of her career if a country or city dont have enough high demand for Beyoncé, she will just skip the damn country or city and move on lol. She wont change a full concert that was designed for a stadium to fit into an arena. When she changed to stadiums, that was it, she ain't going back because she produces her tours in house with Parkwood and it's done months in advance.

I actually think most of the renaissance songs fit very well in a stadium. They're big dance songs, they should be experienced in an epic setting. Also at this stage in her career/popularity if she did anything less than stadiums the prices would be ridiculous

She played to 36k over 2 nights in Portugal last time. That’s enough for a stadium. I don’t mind her doing big arenas, as it means she is not restricted on when and where to go. Maybe places like Asia will be arenas?

I like AUIYM. The problem I have is that loud as outro. It’s either A, overproduced, or B, poorly mixed.

Church God is definitely the most disrespected, underrated and neglected song on Renaissance.

!!!

And the fact that many Hive members think it shouldn’t be a single is BAFFLING to me. It would destroy Urban radio.

why are people acting like a mix of stadiums and arenas is a bad thing :rip: I rather her sell out shows than struggle to. And haven't Madonna and other artists done mixture tours before? It ain't that deep

Her recurrent streams are... not it lol

Shes really fumbling her bag with that attitude of hers

Yeah, if she can't full a stadium in a country/city then simply skip it. :rip:

If you're arguing that she might be doing arenas to make it more intimate, I don't see it considering that's much more work. Why perform 4 arena shows when you can do 1 stadium?

watch her drop the tour dates when everyone gets their taxes again :lmao:

I believe it was purposely made to sound so extravagant since it's her first attempt at Hyperpop.

Making no sense at all. Stadium shows are much more epic and efficient for her and her team. She’d have to create a whole new set for the arena she’s not doing 100+ date tours anymore lol

The demand is there for her to do stadiums too anywhere she would really want to, look at how her world tour off nothing but a coachella performance with her husband that nobody really wanted still was one of the top tours of the year. Like no one was there for jay, I feel like it was demand off the lemonade era that she couldn’t fulfill cuz of the twins. This era is showing her team is reallllyyyyyy underestimating her demand the people want solo Beyoncé and Renaissance longevity is showing it. The demand is eeeeeeeeven stronger for her concerts and concerts are in a huge boom in popularity overall right now stadiums are definitely the way to go

Her arena shows are generally better in my experience. Although I’m from the UK and the atmosphere at the FWT was awful because most of it was in daylight so I didn’t really get the full experience.

Random but I also disliked every single one of her hairstyles during the FWT in all the UK shows :rip: They just didn’t suit her.

I agree. It's between that and Cozy.

Move and Cozy are def slept on.

I think its cause the surrounding tracks are hotter attractions. Esp with Move in between VG and HEATED.

Move is a song that NEEDS a visual. It's literally like 3 songs combined into a masterpiece. The beat, the vocals, the "kkkiiiuuuuiiiiiissss". The background adlibs ahhhhhhh

Tems could've been replaced with Blue Ivy and it would've been even sicker.

Stadium shows are garbage for any artist. Smaller is always better

bey’s stadium shows are far from garbage, but i do prefer the arena shows

A power move would be 20 exclusive STADIUM/PARK dates globally :jonny5:

The Renaissance Revival Show

You guys realize she’s never done a stadium tour off a proper album release right? FWT sold off the Super Bowl and Formation and OTR2 off Coachella. Imagine if she does the Grammys and then announces the tour after two global hits. The demand will be unprecedented for her

i disagree with ppl saying they suck, the energy and atmosphere in a stadium can’t be matched by an arena. She could go bigger and more ambitious with the set design too The ppl in the nosebleeds gotta watch the screen either way :jonny:

tbh as her venues have grown larger, so has the ways she's accommodated the space. The monolith was PHENOMENAL.... and I was pretty close so it felt HUGE but I imagine it was even more amazing to see from far away...the way it moved and split and had all sides with screens... truly amazing set design.
