Im a die hard fan and I've only watched BIK TWICE. I have no interest in watching these videos even tho they were expensive as hell to produce.

Now how will the GP feel? They will care even less. So this stupidity at @Parkwood and with @Beyonce needs to stop. Really. Stop being so stupid. This is the **** that makes me go from 0 to 100 cause I really have a hard time believing this team and her consist of people with <20 IQ.

Maybe they're planning on doing a deluxe re-release next year to coincide with a tour announcement and the deluxe tracks appear in the visuals? They can't exactly release visuals for music that isn't announced/out yet so maybe that explains the delay.

Totally understand that she’s trying to sell it to the highest bidder, but it just doesn’t make sense logistically. Ideally these streaming companies (esp newly struggling ones like Netflix) are going to want to see a return on their investment. If everyone has moved on to the next pop girl to release (both Taylor and Rihanna are around the corner) I just don’t see it being a success.
 

Black is King was fully self-financed, and she certainly didn’t see a return on it releasing it a year after the gift. It just seems like a poor move.

Also that scenario just seems dumb and far-fetched. She's out of touch but even as out of touch as she is, that wouldn't make sense. 

However let's be honest, the window for a film this year is done, after October, it's Xmas season. The only thing she can still do is help CI and BMS have longevity by releasing their videos.

I don’t believe the visuals are coming next summer because she dropped the I’m That Girl teaser (which was clearly a teaser for the whole film) recently. Why drop a trailer for something that’s not coming for a whole year?

 

Then again, the last time I cared about an album this much was Chromatica, and this base is very much giving LM teas around that time. We were also waiting for the era to really “start,” we knew there was gonna be some master plan where everything made sense, the visuals, performances, and promo were always just around the corner, and it never came. We edged ourselves for two years only for nothing of substance ever to happen — and when it did, the timing was terrible and never made sense. I will not be made a clown again, Miss Knowles. 
 

Therefore I am expecting no visuals any time soon. Managing my expectations.

Looking back at it, the YT trailer for I’m That Girl does make more sense as a teaser for DISTRIBUTORS, not the fans.

It is giving when Nicki posted her documentary teaser with the caption “I’ll announce its home soon” which was clearly just an attempt to get someone interested  then she eventually found a platform

It seems like they shot the entire film without a solid deal with a distributor, and now they are SCRAMBLING to find one  I guess that disproves the Netflix 3 film deal (but didn’t Variety confirm this??).

 

The visuals coming out in Summer 2023 is pure comedy. NO ONE will care by then  Did they not see what happened to BIK? 

 

A year long wait for visuals is just ridiculous, especially if you’re not even doing anything with the era in between that time

It’s possible Netflix can’t pay her what she’s asking for even if she already has a deal in place.

But whatever, I’ve already accepted visuals ain’t coming soon whatever platform they land on. Same source said tour announcement coming this week or next, hopefully it’s true. At least we will have that!

They are local to the US, and even there they have been recently exposed for lying about subscriber count

 

Netflix, for all its flaws, remains THEE global platform. Only Disney+ and Prime rival globally and D+ would sanitize the visuals, while everyone has Prime but no one actually watches it.

For (stan) sanity, I'm choosing to not believe this. Or, at the bare minimum, the idea that it's not the entirety of the story. 

 

With all this talk of "act 2 and act 3" I've always been fairly sure that she was doing three visual albums. Or visual...somethings. Maybe she's looking to hit all the streamers in some capacity per act?

 

What about the documentary?

 

At the same time, the whole "gunning for the biggest payout" thing sounds so...her. And, much as some of y'all think I defend her on everything, it's one of the most irritating things about her present day mindset. 

 

There is a CLEAR difference between the cultural reception to Homecoming and BIK. Which highlights why the platform matters. 

 

Amazon is a huge HUGE company, but no one watches Prime Video like that. Same with Apple and Apple TV+.

 

She has a huge, installed, perfectly-aligned partner in Netflix. Squandering that in pursuit of a bigger payout (that won't mean anything to anyone) is actually bad business in terms of the bigger picture (cultural penetration).

To be quiet honest, I’m sooo over the visuals already. Please cancel the visuals and just drop ACT II instead, and I hope it flops hard; it’s what she deserves but I know I’ll stan the material regardless. 

Also, let’s be real, if she were to do a visual album for one act, she would have to it for all 3. What’s the probability of that actually happening + the tour ? I think she might have gotten a little too ambitious, and change her mind once she’s realized how much time it’d take. Also, she’s not a single woman who can work 17/18 hours a day anymore, but a mom with 3 young kids.

Yeah well surely they will just feel the same as us. Interest is there now, not next year. If she sitting on videos then it’s a complete mess. I thought she was waiting to use them to sell the tour. Wow. 
 

Also if a streaming service picks it up, why would they wait that long to release it. Is it not ready

Fact is none of us actually know what Bey is plotting or where the visuals are. So best to assume they aren't coming. I've let that go about a month ago. Not losing sleep anymore is rlly nice.
