The way I woke up to be double tagged and double dragged in this base

 

Clearly this base is in shambles and we all know why. Even Hive twitter is starting to tween increasingly about the Lack of visuals. We're all justifiably frustrated, and thats just tea.

After the music videos, there will be at least one valid complaint left: no performances outside of the tour. It looks like she'll only be performing for Money Hive from now on. Broke Hive can watch that old ****.

No. But the difference is... I had no expectations of a good roll-out. Why? There hasn't been one in 10 years.

 

The satisfaction towards ST & Lem eras are revisionist history...b/c ppl complained badly about those eras in their present time too.

 

I've read all her recent magazine interviews, I read her birthday letter, I watched LIBAD....this era is not surprising to me. I love artists that are older than Beyonce...I've seen how this phase of their career plays out already. I'm not on edge...the writing was on the wall for those who really paid attention.

According to the reddit post i've quoted yesterday some of the hive now think they might get  released next Friday, Sept. 23 since this will be the end of virgo season. Allegedly.

I would like to take the opportunity of my return to adress a few things here and there and then keep it moving:

First of all, I wanna express my deepest disappointed regarding members in the base reporting things that are being said by FELLOW Hive members such as me. This is SUCH a low blow and pretty much confirms my theory on some of y'all: You simply don't have any friends. It's evident. If you had friends, you'd know that reporting on people in the base is a no-go, no matter their outrage. It's been known that I like to have my moment on a few occasions, but to report me takes a special type of person. I just wanna say I know who it was so better be aware - YOU are on my watch list. As the Queen herself once said

 

Now I want to dedicate my thoughts on some of y'all over the course of my absence:

You are RIGHT with everything you say and point out when it comes to the mess of this era and rollout. I appreciate your comments and I want to thank you for keeping the spirit of negativity ALIVE while I was gone.

 

@MrLovett@giRLbye.@bijonse I seriously wonder if you get paid by Beyonce. You post updates on album tracks (only positive ones tho because anytime the stats drop, you just don't post them lol) and want to justify EVERY action by Bey. It's literally mindblowing. In my heart I really admire that form of standom. It's borderline crazy, but to each their own.

 

To the users like @ToraeGilt: Imho the worst type of users. You never post ANYTHING in the base and had the audacity to come for me and only post like 1-2 posts where you complain about true fans like me voicing their opinions? I beg your pardon.

 

Then lastly we have the dreamers aka @Cbreezy, @Planet Mars and @Lose My Breath: You envision a turning point in this mess of a rollout, strongly believe in Beyonce being this "hungry" artist trying to push things around, you believe in Grammys and her getting her fair due, you believe in the revival of streaming numbers due to the acts. It's really cute, but all I can say to this is

 

 

You are so so delusional and are incapable of seeing things for what they are - the era is done. At one point, the videos will come, and thats it. No second single, no crazy rollout, it's gonna be exactly the same for act 2 and act 3 minus the videos. Just the music. So get used to it. The moment it drops, the era is over. Also no interviews or performances. Maybe a documentary 3 years later.

 

And lastly, I want to state that I truly believe that I love Beyonce as a musician, but I actually don't think I like her anymore. I think, to be quite frank, there is not a lot of likeable qualities about her anymore. If we're being honest, giving an award speech with in envelope in gold is cringe, all interaction being based on a singular insta post that was pre-written. The only side we get to see is her doing billionaire stuff with her millionaire friends. This is NOT the Beyonce we witnessed during 4, the ambitious one, the one EXUDING fire and passion. She's a great musician and I will always live for her, but her personality is SO off-putting. I really think I don't like her. She's a self-indulged and money-hungry woman that is afraid of leaving her husband alone for a while due to the damage his infidelity has caused her. Sure, she's for sure a loving mother (but even that I don't know), but all the things I, as a true fan, get to see are these. That's Beyonce in 2022 or at least the image she lets us see. 

That's it. Happy next weeks/months till Act 2 comes and goes.

But it’s true, I really don’t think I like Bey as a person from what I know about her at this point. She’s a supreme musician and artist, and for that I’ll always have love for her. But that’s all she is to me at this point. I’m not invested in her personally because I see her as a cash-grabbing ambitious individual who does not really care about her fans and has no regard for what makes an era great for us. It’s all about her. The games she plays are all for her own personal enjoyment, because she surely can’t think that it’s exciting or enjoyable for the fans. 

 

I fell in love with Bey because I was captivated by how someone with so much charisma and exuding such confidence could be so genuinely humble and human. She’s really not that person anymore I’m afraid to say.

And let's not get it twisted, charts success IS important. That's the reason why Beyoncé can pack stadiums, the reason why they call her the Queen and the reason why she can hold Hollywood parties and 41st birthday parties and there are more celebs than all events in the year. The reason why she can sell over price items like Ivy Park and the reason why Tiffany is paying her so much money to pose with their jewelry. Sade is certainly not throwing lavish Hollywood parties, she's not taking money from huge white corporations. 

 

What I hate the most about this base is how people turn their noses at people wanting charts success. Not caring about charts makes you neither special, nor interesting nor deep and certainly not a better fan. 

There is nothing wrong with wanting your fave to succeed. 

This thread was busy as hell when she reached #1 on all those charts and the people who like to point out charts don't matter were the first to celebrate with corny phrases like "I don't care about charts but it sure feels good". If something sure makes you feel good or elated, you care!

I honestly just stopped caring about the era and haven't paid attention in the last couple of weeks, didn't even care about her bday party. Beyonce has decided she wants to be an influencer and cater to other wealthy people. She knows that fans will still buy whatever she puts out so it's not like it matters to her. She's giving very much, " let them eat cake" vibes. I'm kind of turned off as well, not going to lie. 

 

No one is asking her to be like Nicki, obsessed with her stans and have an unhealthy relationship with the internet. However I think someone like Taylor Swift has mastered a healthy balance. Mariah Carey already has #18 number ones and she still promotes and engages. That is the bare minimum.

It's not a "bad" era...yet IMO. A confusing era. A frustrating era. But not a bad one. Yet.

 

To bypass a confirmation of a three-act project, a multi-week #1 single, a #1 album with big opening week sales, GP love, and songs that are growing organically to moan about visuals we KNOW are coming is really odd to me. 

 

Several things can be true at once, but it feels like the complainers are exclusively focussing on the bad.

 

The Grammy deadline is my yardstick, though. If she lets that September 30th date lapse with no visuals (given how much of a shoo-in she is for the Visual Media category), then we're in OFFICIALLY the dangerzone. And even then, it may be October to align with the delayed vinyl release.

 

It really just is what it is at this point. No amount daily whining will make a difference.

i think the point is & where the divide comes from is why do ya'll care so much more than the artist whose music & career this is?? Beyonce and Parkwood see the internal data...they see what the streams are, what radio looks like, the daily album sales. all this anxiety ya'll have right now...they OBVIOUSLY don't share those anxious feelings or else this era would be looking different right now. So why do ya'll care more than the artist?
