JawBreaker Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 I'm surprised at Mariah not even making the top 50. I'm shocked at her not having a single 100% that charted either. Also Bruno and Sia not making it at all I wonder how many females are left. There's Madonna and Taylor who else??

He had some big AC leaning pop hits in the late 90s to mid 00s. Also, now that we're halfway through, anyone want to make new predictions on who'll make the top ranks?

The funny thing with Homemade Dynamite, is that the original song had 4 writers, Lorde, Tove Lo, Jakob Jerlström and Karl Söederberg Then in the remix they added the featured artists, SZA, Khalid and Post Malone But now the remix has 8 writers on ASCAP, with Louis Bell being the 8th writer. But what did Louis Bell do? Is Post not able to write his own verse, or does he have a deal where Louis Bell gets a % of everything? After a stint in jail and some time homeless, he tried to earn a living playing in cover bands. He then formed the band that (after a line-up change) would eventually become Matchbox Twenty in 1993, and started playing songs his own songs. The band gained the attention of producer Matt Serletic and they released their debut album in 1996. The band indulged in the rock star life for a couple years until they recognized the damage it was causing and started cleaning up. In 1999, he was sent a Santana demo and worked on improving the lyrics and melody and sent the demo back to Santana. The song was "Smooth", and after 15 years without any hits for Santana, he had one of the biggest Hot 100 hits of all time. Rob Thomas continued having hits for most of the 00s with Matchbox Twenty, as well as with his more pop-leaning solo career that began in 2005. His last songwriter hit was with Rixton's sample of "Lonely No More" on "Me and My Broken Heart" in 2014.
