Blue Rose Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Origins was such a disappointment so I guess #99 is good for it. Rudimental haven’t released anything that slayed me since Feel The Love. I also loved Spoons
Kevin2803 Posted December 13, 2018 Author Posted December 13, 2018 Sorry, i won't continue my countdown until saturday. I was almost finished with my countdown for today and then somehow everything got deleted. ? Stay tuned for the positions #90 to #76.
Kevin2803 Posted December 13, 2018 Author Posted December 13, 2018 SURPRISE, BITCHES. I still managed to reveal the next five spots on my album and singles 2018 Countdown. Albums 90. Ne-Yo - Good Man Peak: #4 Weeks: 2 "Push Back" was such a good lead single, but it's also the only reason why this album is on this countdown. The rest of the album wasn't my cup of tea. 89. Riverdale Cast - Riverdale Special Episode: Carrie The Musical (Original Television Soundtrack) Peak: #4 Weeks: 3 "Riverdale" is a mess, like i have no idea what is going on anymore. But i always like the music of the show. They have some really talented singers, so it wasn't a big surprise that they did a musical episode. "Do Me a Favor" is the standout track. 88. Various Artists - The Hate U Give (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Peak: #14 Weeks: 3 I only listened to one song of this soundtrack - the beautiful ballad "We Won't Move" by Arlissa. But this song was enough to secure this soundtrack a spot on my 2018 countdown. I have yet to watch the movie, but i already know that i will shed some tears. 87. Justin Timberlake - Man of the Woods Peak: #4 Weeks: 2 One of the biggest disappointments of the year. There are a very few songs that are grower, but overall, the album just isn't very good. 86. Poppy - Am I A Girl? Peak: #4 Weeks: 3 I'm kinda giving up on Poppy. Her personality is getting boring lately and she never topped "Money" or "Lowlife". Atleast, this album is a step in the right direction. I like it more than "Poppy: Computer". Singles 90. Paloma Faith - Loyal Peak: #5 Weeks: 6 In my opinion, this is their best single since "Only Love Can Hurt Like This". And the music video is a masterpiece. 89. Hailee Steinfeld & BloodPop® - Capital Letters Peak: #5 Weeks: 10 I couldn't really imagine Hailee on a Fifty Shades soundtrack, but it kinda works, atleast for the romantic parts of the movie. Hailee sounds beautiful and she looked gorgeous in the music video, like always. 88. Bella Thorne - Burn So Bright Peak: #8 Weeks: 11 Bella is a fascinating person. She can go from glamorous superstar to a trash bag within seconds. She also doesn't have the best voice, but still delivered some bops, like this one. I never watched the movie, but the song is so much fun. 87. Jax Jones & Ina Wroldsen - Breathe Peak: #3 Weeks: 9 Jax delivers one smash after another and Ina is a really underrated artist. Together, they released this dance pop masterpiece. 86. Julia Michaels - Heaven Peak: #1 Weeks: 6 This is one of my favorite tracks on the Fifty Shades Freed Soundtrack. Julia sounds so good and i love the line "They say all good boys go to heaven, but bad boys bring heaven to you" so much, that is even used it as a headline on Grindr for a while. I know, i'm a mess. TheWayWeWere Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Push Back was cute, but entire Ne-Yo album wasn't iT MOTW flopping like that deserved Loyal is great, MV alone Burn So Bright was kinda cute that lifetime type of movie tho
potent Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Heaven is cute. I like Paloma but I kinda stopped checking for her era after Crybaby.

Kevin2803 Posted December 15, 2018 Author Posted December 15, 2018 Let's continue with my 2018 Countdown ... Albums 85. BØRNS - Blue Madonna Peak: #2 Weeks: 4 "God Save Our Young Blood" is a great song. "Blue Madonna" is maybe not the kind of album i would listen on repeat, but it has a few good songs. 84. John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter & Daniel Davies - Halloween (Original 2018 Motion Picture Soundtrack) Peak: #3 Weeks: 1 "Halloween" was my most anticipated horror movie of the year and even tho the movie had some flaws, it's still one of my favorite movies of the year. A big part of the movie is the score, especially the main theme and legend John Carpenter decided to compose the soundtrack once again and he did an amazing job with it. 83. Anitta - Solo - EP Peak: #11 Weeks: 3 I never cared much for Anitta's music. I knew her mostly because of the songs she was featured on, but i decided to give this EP a listen and wasn't disappointed. All three songs are great, but "Veneno" is THAT bop. 82. Raye - Side Tape - EP Peak: #7 Weeks: 5 Raye is another one of my favorite new artists, besides Mabel. I like every song, but the standout tracks are "Cigarette" and "Crew". 81. Mariah Carey - Caution Peak: #4 Weeks: 2 I like Mariah, but i'm not always a fan of the tone of her voice. I like it more when she's singing in a lower register and i'm glad that she did this on a few songs on "Caution". "GTFO" was a great lead single, but "With You" a weak follow-up. "The Distance" and "A No No" are way better. 80. Steve Aoki - Neon Future III Peak: #4 Weeks: 2 Steve has a bunch of great singles under his belt, like "All Night" and "Be Somebody". This album also includes some nice collaborations with artists like Bella Thorne or Era Istrefi. 79. Lennon Stella - Love, me - EP Peak: #3 Weeks: 2 Lennon's character on "Nashville" was really annoying sometimes, but vocally, she was was always talented as ****. She finally released an EP this year and damn, if she continues to give us quality music like this, she will be a big star in a few years. There is not one bad song on here and her videos also slay. 78. Tori Kelly - Hiding Place Peak: #7 Weeks: 2 I was kinda disappointed that Tori decided to return to the music scene with a gospel album, but vocally, she slays on here. And "Help Us To Love" is really beautiful. 77. Various Artists - Bright: The Album Peak: #4 Weeks: 4 I never watched the movie, but the soundtrack has some great artists on it, like Camila Cabello or Bebe Rexha. "Home" and "Crown" are cute bops. 76. Various Artists - Deadpool 2 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Peak: #3 Weeks: 3 Probably no one expected a song from Céline Dion for this movie, but it kinda worked. "Ashes" is great and the music video is kinda funny. The soundtrack has also some classics on it, like "All Out Of Love" or "We Belong". Singles 85. Years & Years - Sanctify Peak: #6 Weeks: 5 To be honest, i was kinda disappointed by this lead single at first, but it grew on me a lot, especially after the version with Alma was released. The album has much better songs tho. 84. Alessia Cara - Growing Pains Peak: #4 Weeks: 6 A lot of people were disappointed by Alessia's lead single for her second album and i also didn't like it as much at first, but this song also grew on me. Now it's probably one of my favorite tracks by her and i love the lyrics. 83. Olivia O'Brien - I Don't Exist Peak: #16 Weeks: 9 Olivia is very underrated. This song is another bop by her and a very relatable one, even tho i don't know who would crop someone like Olivia out of his photo. 82. Sigala, Ella Eyre, Meghan Trainor & French Montana - Just Got Paid Peak: #14 Weeks: 9 At first, these artists seemed like a strange combination, but it worked in the end. This song knocks and is for both, Ella and Meghan, one of their best songs in recent history. 81. Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho Peak: #7 Weeks: 6 I was obsessed with Ava when if first discovered her and still love her music, but this song got annoying very fast. Of course, it's now number #1 here in Germany. That's good tho. I'm happy that finally a pure pop song is so successful again. 80. Sabrina Carpenter - Paris Peak: #3 Weeks: 5 Sabrina really slayed this year. "Paris" is pure pop perfection, like everyhing she released recently. 79. Betty Who - Taste Peak: #2 Weeks: 6 I liked that song from the beginning, but didn't really listen much to it until the music video was released. It really helped this bop chart high on my countdown. 78. Namika & Black M - Je ne parle pas français (Beatgees Remix) Peak: #14 Weeks: 9 Namika is a german artist who had a big hit with "Lieblingsmensch" in 2015, but probably everyone expected her to be a one hit wonder. But the catchy lead single of her second album became another number #1 hit for her here in Germany. You could barely escape this song here this summer. 77. Sigrid - Sucker Punch Peak: #3 Weeks: 6 I like a few songs by Sigrid, like "Strangers", but i never really expected that a song from her would blew me away and then she released this pop masterpiece. I'm excited for her debut album. 76. R3hab & Sofia Carson - Rumors Peak: #8 Weeks: 9 R3hab is one of my favorite DJs at the moment. His second album "The Wave" is full of bops. This song is one of them and Sofia Carson, who already delivered some bops herself, is featured on the track. Her voice fits the song perfectely. Remmy Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Albums: Blue Madonna He snapped! "not the kind of album I would listen on repeat" Can't relate, I had this on a lot in the first half of the year | Singles: Growing Pains + Paris Taste Sucker Punch Sigrid really went off on SP
TheWayWeWere Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 God Save Our Young Blood is great, my favorite out of Lana collabs this year Caution is too low Sucker Punch is such a jam :jonny: literally punches with the chorus Betty's Taste
Monky_2405 Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Lennon Stella Ep ❤️ Glad to see it's on a year end list! I love most of the single, Ava Max, Years And Years, Just Got Paid ❤️ Our tastes keep on matching!
Kevin2803 Posted December 16, 2018 Author Posted December 16, 2018 (edited) We continue a little bit earlier today ... Albums 75. Various Artists - Midnight Sun (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Peak: #2 Weeks: 5 I didn't hear much good things about the movie, but i also don't expect it to be a masterpiece. The soundtrack is good tho. Bella doesn't have the best voice, but it's good enough for this kind of music. 74. Aly & AJ - Ten Years Peak: #7 Weeks: 4 This was close. If they would've released the Deluxe Version one day later, the EP wouldn't have made it on this countdown and that woud've been a shame, because it's really good. I'm excited to hear more from them. 73. Maroon 5 - Red Pill Blues Peak: #10 Weeks: 6 Last Year: #67 The album already made it last year and only fell a few spots. "Girls Like You" is cute and dominated the US charts this year, but "Wait" and "Lips On You" are still the standout tracks for me. 72. Yellow Claw - New Blood Peak: #4 Weeks: 4 If i remember correctly, they were my most streamed artist on Spotify last year with their second album "Los Amsterdam". The follow-up also had some good songs, but was overall weaker.. 71. Tove Lo - Blue Lips Peak: #4 Weeks: 4 Last Year: #63 Another album that already made it into the 2017 countdown. I still don't like it as much as her perfect debut album, but "Blue Lips" has a lot of growers. Singles 75. Lennon Stella - Bad Peak: #4 Weeks: 6 Lennon's first (but surely not last) solo single on one of my year-end countdowns. I almost forgot to put it in here, which would've sucked, because this catchy break-up anthem is so good. Fun Fact: The song that was kicked out for this bop was "Polaroid", her collaboration with Liam Payne and Jonas Blue. 74. Charlie Puth & Kehlani - Done For Me Peak: #1 Weeks: 6 Almost every song Kehlani is featured on sounds like a ****ing smash. Charlie also has some cute hits under his belt, so it isn't a big suprise that their collaboration is a bop. 73. Raye, Mabel & Stefflon Don - Cigarette Peak: #3 Weeks: 11 Mabel and Raye on a collaboration can only be amazing. Their voices blend so well together and Stefflon is a good addition. I just was kinda disappointed by the music video. They could've done so much more with it. 72. CXLOE - Monster Peak: #2 Weeks: 7 I love me a good dark pop song and CXLOE is great at delivering them. She's one artist y'all should check out. 71. David Guetta & Anne-Marie - Don't Leave Me Alone Peak: #17 Weeks: 8 Both have better songs in their repetoire, but this song still knocks and she looked great in the music video. It's the second of three songs on this countdown where Anne-Marie is featured on.
