100. Poo Bear - Poo Bear Presents: Bearthday Music (#4 | 1 Week)

The best thing about albums from music producers or DJs are the featured artists, because who doesn't like some extra songs from his favorite artist? And Poo Bear had some promising features, like Zara Larsson, Jennifer Lopez or Anitta. But sadly, the songs didn't do much for me. They were cute, but are also already forgotten. 

 

 

99. Imagine Dragons - Origins (#6 | 1 Week)

Weeks: 1

 

I really like Imagine Dragons, especially Hottie Dan () and "Natural" was a promising lead single, but except for that song, nothing else really stuck with me. "Zero" was also cute, but that's about it. But "Evolve" also took a while to grow on me, so there is still a chance this album will make a comeback on my countdown next year.

 

 

98. Various Artists - Cloak & Dagger (Original Television Series Soundtrack)

Weeks: 3

 

I basically started to watch this show because of Queen Olivia Holt, but it was not her song from the soundtrack that i feel in love with. It was the emotional ballad "Ending" by newcomer Isak Danielson. This song is the main reason why this soundtrack even made it to the top 100. If you not know the song yet, you should definitely check it out.

 

 

97. Alexandra Burke - The Truth Is

Weeks: 2

 

The album debuted in a slow week, that's the only reason why it even peaked at #1. I was so excited for her comeback, but the album was a huge disappointment. The songs are not really that bad, but they sound straight out of 2003. "Shadow" was kinda cute tho.

 

 

96. Alyssa Reid - Burnout - EP

Alyssa never really made it, but i always liked her since she released "Alone Again" in 2010. This year, she returned with this cute EP and the one song i really liked was her version of "Teenage Dirtbag".

100. Camila Cabello - Consequences (orchestra)

Some people in this forum like to belittle Camila and her success, but she is without a doubt one of the biggest pop girls of 2018. "Consequences" is her latest single and the last one from her debut album "Camila". It's not her best ballad from the album and probably not everyone's favorite single choice, but it's still a great song.

 

 

99. Rudimental, Major Lazer, Anne-Marie & Mr. Eazi - Let Me Live

Weeks: 6

 

Besides releasing her debut album, UK pop singer Anne-Marie was also featured on some dance tracks this year. One of them was this jam. It's also my favorite song of Rudimental since "Free".

 

 

98. Sean Paul, David Guetta & Becky G - Mad Love

Weeks: 8

 

I don't know if i would call myself a big Sean Paul fan, but he definitely released some bops in the last twelve years. But this song wouldn't be as great without latin superstar Becky G, who delivered some amazing vocals and looked ****ing hot in the music video.

 

 

97. Antonia - Tango

Weeks: 9

 

Antonia released some cute songs since 2011, but after releasing three bops in a row in 2018, i'm almost ready to stan. "Tango" is catchy, sexy and probably has one of the most colorful music videos of the year.

 

 

96. Alec Benjamin - If We Have Each Other

I love Zach Sang's interviews and one day, i watched the one with Alec Benjamin and immediately fell in love with this Cutie. Shortly after i got into his song "Let Me Down Slowly", he released "If We Have Each Other" and i loved it even more, especially because it was released at a really emotional time for me and i related to it very much.

I stan 3 or 4 songs from Origins but overall it's not as good as their past work. I keep hearing Alec Benjamin on Sirius XM and his voice sounds unique, the songs are just okay though.

95. Brynn Cartelli - The Complete Season 14 Collection (The Voice Performance)

I never watched a whole episode of The Voice US, but i watch some performances here and then, listen to the studio versions and follow who gets eliminated and who wins. And Brynn is one of the winners, i find a little bit more interesting. She would've potential to become a bigger name in the industry, but that probably won't happen. But this collection has a few great covers.

 

 

94. Mabel - Ivy to Roses (Mixtape)

Mabel was one of my favorite new artists this year and delivered bop after bop. This mixtape was originally released in 2017, but they added her biggest hits to it and released this new version. "Fine Line" and "Ring Ring" are some of my favorite songs of the year, but the original version of the mixtape has also some amazing songs, like "Come Over" or "Begging".

 

 

93. Mike Singer - Deja Vu

The first german album on this countdown and it's probably only because it has like 36 tracks. I don't remember much of the songs, if i'm being honest, except for the singles. But i still know that i liked some tracks, i just didn't listened to them very often.

 

 

92. Alec Benjamin - Narrated For You

Weeks: 2

 

This should be higher, but sadly, it was released very late in the year. Like i said yesterday, i immediately liked him and his music after watching the Zach Sang interview and his mixtape didn't disappoint. "Let Me Down Slowly" and especially "If We Have Each Other" are still the standout tracks, in my opinion, but it also has some other good songs with some great lyrical content. The mixtape is currently still charting on my weekly countdown.

 

 

91. Loote - single. - EP

This duo caught my intention with their infectious bop "Your Side of the Bed" and the EP has also some other cute songs i liked. Y'all should definitely check them out, if you haven't yet.

95. Jessica Mauboy - We Got Love

The ESC 2018 had much better songs than the one last year. "We Got Love" is one of the most underrated ones. Sure, Jessica's performance wasn't perfect, but still deserved so much better.

 

 

94. Vice, Jason Derülo & Ava Max - Make Up

Weeks: 6

 

Ava is THE breakout pop girl of 2018. But while "Sweet But Psycho" is already getting on my nerves, this song with Jason still knocks. It's also one of Jason's better singles in recent history. "Make Up" is currently still in the top 20 of my weekly countdown.

 

 

93. Carlie Hanson - Only One

 

 

Peak: #7

Weeks: 10

 

Carlie is still kinda unkown, but this song alone proves that she shouldn't be. "Only One" is a catchy pop song, that was released in 2017, but the music video wasn't released until March 2018. Carlie also delivered the best song on the "Sierra Burgess is a Loser" soundtrack called "Goodbye". I wouldn't be surprised if she blows up in the near future.

 

 

92. Julie Bergan - Guilt Trip

 

 

Peak: #4

Weeks: 7

 

Norwegian singer Julie Bergan barely disappointed me with her singles, since i discovered "All Hours" back in 2015. She released one great single after another, her debut album also came out this year and "Guilt Trip" is easily one of her best tracks. I'm excited for her future stuff.

 

 

91. Major Lazer & Tove Lo - Blow That Smoke

Weeks: 5

 

I love Tove Lo, but i wasn't hooked on this song immediately. It was the music video that made me fall in love with the song and made it blow up on my weekly countdown, peaking at #2. It didn't hold on for very long, but i still bop to it from time to time.
