He was obviously waiting for the song to start growing on iTunes and radio before releasing the Beyoncé cover (and all other countless versions), which was smart, I’ll give him that.

 

Plus it wasn’t only one quote and it wasn’t out of context at all.

I am bitter and pressed, I said on the last page. Also releasing an EP of EDM remixes is not the same thing at all, most artists do that all the time.

Sure, but don’t you think it’s too much releasing two duet remixes a week apart from each other? Or releasing a symphony version with it’s own music video? It screams desperation to me.

Perfect: Rock -- Shinedown or Foo Fighters; although Disturbed has shown how well they can do with covers. Imagine Dragons, maybe, but I consider ID more Alternative than Rock.  U2?  Well they are from Ireland and Ed is from England, so they are not too far.  I am drawing a blank when it comes to current and relevant English Rock bands, so I need to get back in the game here.  And I already know I am one of the few Rockers on here, so do not have to waste your time reminding me. 

 

That being said, why is he not spacing out these other versions a bit more?  If he really wants to break the OSD/Despacito record, why not release the remixes once per month?  Releasing them this close will boost Perfect's points probably past Taylor Swift's opening week with Look, but I do not see any other advantage from his method here.  If anyone has an explanation, please pass it along.

More than 12 hours later and all three versions of Perfect are still in the top 10. Let's see how far this goes.

Yeah. The Arctic Monkeys might work. They are one of the more Rocking bands in Alternative, and their debut hit did fairly well on the Active/Modern Rock Charts.
