Karl-by-the-sea - "in a perfect world..."
Support your fellow ATRLer!
We're putting the spotlight on one of our own! @Faded aka Karl-by-the-sea, a London-based indie pop singer-songwriter and producer, is preparing to release new music, and we encourage the ATRL community to check him out.
Originally from Hong Kong, which he left at 17, Karl draws on his experiences with identity, belonging and relationships to create music that blends breezy pop melodies, lush vocal harmonies and personal storytelling.
Describing his sound as Mariah Carey meets The Beach Boys, with a touch of Lana Del Rey, Karl brings together influences ranging from classic pop harmonies to more intimate, guitar-driven arrangements.
His latest single arrives this week as part of his upcoming project, Songs from His Guitar. Written on a guitar belonging to a former flame, the collection reflects on a relationship that ended but continues to influence his songwriting.
Let's show some love to a fellow ATRLer and support his new release!

Britney Spears - 'Britney (25th Anniversary Edition)'
By the time Britney arrived in November 2001, Spears already had two blockbuster albums behind her. Her third kept that run going: approximately 746,000 copies sold in its opening week and another No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200. She became the first woman to debut her first three studio albums at the top.But this was also the album where she started giving listeners a clearer idea of her own musical interests. Inspired by R&B and hip-hop, Britney worked with the Neptunes on “I’m a Slave 4 U” and “Boys,” continued collaborating with Max Martin and Rodney Jerkins, and contributed more of her own songwriting. “Lonely,” “Anticipating” and “Cinderella” helped give the album a personality beyond its singles. For many fans, the music is inseparable from the era: the VMAs snake, the “Overprotected” choreography, Crossroadsand the Dream Within a Dream Tour. The album also received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album, while “Overprotected” earned its own vocal-performance nomination. Twenty-five years on, there’s a full album and a lot of performances worth returning to.Britney (25th Anniversary Edition) is due November 6, 2026, with the official celebrations already underway and an “I’m a Slave 4 U” remix collection available now. The tracklist hasn’t been announced yet. We’ll keep the OP updated as the details come in.LISTENRevisit the original album“I’m a Slave 4 U” — Remix CollectionWATCH“I’m a Slave 4 U” — Official HD Video“Overprotected” — Official HD VideoFOLLOW THE ANNIVERSARYInstagram • TikTok
