#1 Number 1 Angel - Charli XCX I think this goes without saying that this is the most polished Charli "album" in a while. All the collabs are great, the production is silky smooth, and the flow of this album is all great. It's a much needed improvement from the Vroom Vroom EP which I liked the experimental sound, but N1A does it better. It's a progression for Charli that can change the scope of PC music all around. It's just more streamlined than it was before.

#2 4:44 - Jay Z This is my favorite rap album of the year. Ever since Watch The Throne with Kanye West to me, Jay hasn't had a great album. This album does so much of what I wish he did. He speaks on so many issues like the highly publicized cheating with Beyoncé, to racism, wealth in America, being an old guy in a young field, so much more. This might be Jay's last album and man, what a strong note to end off on. If you haven't listened to this album you're missing out on great stroy telling thru rap that most artists can't do today and certainly not without Jay's flow.

#3 DAMN. - Kendrick Lamar Once again Kendrick is rap excellence. In a year with tons of mumble rap and new comers talking about lean is everyday Kendrick stands out. Rap is becoming more and more lucrative and charting more than pop music. As a result Kendrick has become more mainstream and hip hop heads have said Kendrick lost his punch to appeal to a mainstream audience. To me this is not true he has tons of hard hitting bars even in his #1 song Humble. His feature with Rihanna is not pandering and is better compared to his other collabs in the past. I've always loved rap, but not this new wave (ei. mumble rap and lean ****). Kendrick talks to these newcomers especially on the song HUMBLE. It is nice tp have someone call it out. IMO this is Kendrick's most cohesive effort and hope he releases more of this type of album.

#4 Rainbow - Kesha It's amazing that Rainbow exists ever since her legal feud with Dr. Luke. It's amazing album that is both care free and full of raw emotion at the same time. This album has so many highs and lows, but does it how a person going through what Kesha has experienced would feel. It is different from what she's made before but this progression I like and a direction I wish something like Joanne would've done. It can be country, pop, soul, all at the same time, but flow together.

#5 Melodrama - Lorde A great sophomore effort by Lorde. It just doesn't hold up to Pure Heroine, after the hype went down the amount wasn't as great as I thought it was. It's still amazing, but not perfect. There a couple of duds on the album and the production between some songs are different and take away from the listening. However love Lorde's vocals, the lyrics and emotion she shows.

#6 Pop 2 - Charli XCX No bad songs, only 1 I skip. I love the experimental beats and think this album improved PC music for the future. All the collabs are great, the lyrics are funny and it seems like everyone is just having fun making it together.

#7 CTRL - SZA The best R&B album this year, SZA really had a great year and this album was amazing too. Of course it does get a lot of flack about being a side hoe album, but I don't mind the new take on cheating and hearing from a different perspective. The collabs add another level to this album. You can sense the pain of SZA and how badly she wants love.

#8 Funk Wav Bounces - Calvin Harris This album is just so much fun and the collabs all work together. I liked this album more than I thought I would, so many bops and a great summer album!

#9 SweetSexySavage - Kehlani I thought the singles CRZY, Distraction & Gangsta were going to lead to a great album, there are a couple of songs that should've been scrapped. All and all this is an enjoyable album with great trap beats blending with R&B. Towards the middle of the album it gets sort of repetitive and boring.

#10 All American Teen - Khalid For me, Khalid was one of the new breakout stars of 2017. For a first album this is so polished and to me there are no skippable songs. Great effort! One of the best R&B albums of the year

YES sis I went back and forth with these songs all while making my list I love the song so much I LOVE melodrama and it's going to be on my top album list so stay tuned For me PH is still the better album, but it was a great sophomore album I didn't expect liking it this much when I got into it

Thanks guys for a great way to start the thread now we're on to the hardest part for me My Top 10 Albums of the year! Let's get started with some honorable mentions in a bit

I love Greenlight, but this song is just so earth shatteringly good

Wow king we stan the 1 2 punch of Gaga performing and my favorite team winning at the SB Gaga my 2nd fave half time show of all time the girls were ended OLT was so amazing and all the crowd singing and Ariana showing that raw emotion

#1 I Feel It Coming - The Weeknd ft. Daft Punk This song is so big and I'm a slut for 80's songs, the Weeknd really channels one of his major influences Michael Jackson on this song. You can hear it in him especially in his ad libs in the song the "woooohs", IMO this shows how the Weeknd is progressing into that label we've given him in the past. This song has a gorgeous production and the Weeknd sounds so great on this song. Daft Punk created one of the most infectious beats I've ever heard. This song proved that 2017 was his year and he will be a force in the industry. Just wow.

#2 Greenlight - Lorde I've struggled back and forth for what #1 and #2 would be. This song despite not having as much success as I wanted to is just amazing. Lorde again has another great song and showing the girls what to do. This song just keeps building and building, there is never a dull moment. This song is just so grand and smacks you in the face with top quality production. Everything comes together in a beautiful melody, it's just butter to the ears. Lorde's voice being raspy and not so perfect shows the hurt she is talking about a love, so relatable, Lorde is speaking for every heart broken girl out there!

#3 Wild Thoughts - DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller The first time I listened to this song I was hooked, this song was the song og the summer. Another hit for Rihanna she makes this song and sounds so sexy and smooth on that Santana sample. Bryson Tiller's verse isn't bad and is good, I wanted more, but it's passable. Rihanna and Bryson sound good together. DJ Khaled did that and the production of this song is great too. It hooks you in and you can't stop listening to it
