  1. Bringing up retail value is not working in your favor at all In a few years, China will most likely be the largest anyways, even surpassing Japan. But that's besides the point. The music market retail value of a particular country doesn't determine the overall popularity of an artist on a continent, especially a continent as big and as populated as Asia. By that logic, Taylor is automatically the most popular western female artist in Asia simply because she's the biggest in Japan, which has a bigger retail value than every other Asian country combined . The point that was made is that Taylor is a phenomenon throughout Asia, not just one particular area or country. We both know it's true and we both know that she's far bigger than Ariana in Asia as a whole. That's not a bad thing. Ariana is still quite big, not just close to Taylor at all. Congrats Ari for having South Korea tho
  2. Kii @ you copy pasting an image from Google instead of just typing it, it makes you look soooo cool and edgy! Congrats on Ariana being bigger than Taylor in ONE Asian country that represents 1% of the Asian population Big achievement, right? The singles are doing decently good but the album's not charting on the hanteo chart, but I'm sure it'll eventually sell 1K copies! x
  3. No offence, but Ariana and Dua Lipa are kind of irrelevant in the two biggest Asian countries (India and China). Ariana has potential in China but she lacks longetivity. Taylor's the biggest western artist in both of these countries. Honestly, in which Asian country would you say Dua and Aria are bigger than Taylor? Taylor's easily bigger than both in Vietnam, Taiwan, China, India, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Nepal, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia... As for the not supporting other popgirls thing and being insecure, it's not true at all. It's just that Taylor is constantly used as a comparison standard when it comes to commercial success, so inevitably Swifties get involved.
  4. ... and yet she was the most consumed female artist of 2018 on the West Coast AND the East Coast Not to mention the fact that reputation was (and still is) an actual phenomenon in Asia Get out of here with your stupid illogical claims based on nothing besides your blatant ignorance and bias OT: Gaga
  5. Weak comeback. Literally where did I mention Taylor's sales and numbers in this conversation, I- the projection
  6. Yes, with an army of co-writers. Anyone can do that . Come back to me when she can create songs on her own. Thank God I don't stan someone for their vocal range but for their overall artistry and personality then OT: Congrats
  7. But Ariana basically doesn't create music, that's the thing. She sings songs other people created . Anyways, congrats to her on reaching 355K SPS in her peak
  8. True, you listen to a singer, we listen to an artist OT: Cute numbers!
  9. The tour was already halfway done when EIL was announced you trying to latch OTR2's moderate success (yes, moderate considering the majority of the shows were not really sold out) to the album is more than laughable. Bottom line is 5sos' album outsold and outcharted EIL, seethe
  10. Literally no tables turned. Sit down and eat your food
  11. This. A lot of people in this thread were literally comparing her to Taylor. Now they're getting a reality check
  12. If it moves 10M units like My Everything, sure. I don't think that will happen tho.
