It's even less than FIVE years. It's only been three since her most recent #1 single.

Okay. "Timber" has Pitbull as the lead and Kesha as the featured artist. Still, this got Kesha back into good graces after the "Die Young" debacle of satanic imagery in the video and her unfortunate timing around the Sandy Hill Shooting.

I guess Shania will break this record next month.

Hopefully.  Her first song was a real disappointment, and this is coming from someone (me) who loves Shania Twain. She needs a second single sent to radio, ODS, and download websites ASAP.

She was the feature, but her chorus is the reason the song went to #1, similar to Ne-Yo's chorus on Give Me Everything

Where did Twain go to #1 with her leadoff song? I don't remember seeing it in the T 25 in anything.

Let's hope so! Isn't Miley releasing the same week? :dancehall:

No joke, I literally had a dream about this exact thread a month ago :jonny:

Even the OP is exactly the same as my dream

Okay. ATRL is quoting the wrong posts. This happened to me on ITunes just now.

Maybe BB will let her rechart, since she appeared to have gained momentum in the last tracking period too. Heart must reach at least #50 though.

Why is bodak yellow flying up the chart like that? It's not that high on itunes nor on radio. So i'm guessing spotify and youtube then?!

Is there a possibility that Taylor won't debut at #1 but then jump there in the second week to make Despacito tie the record? Or was that only bc of the different tracking weeks back then. I'm still a little confused.

Despacito will tie the record next week, then if Taylor releases and debuts at #1 it won't break it.

"Despacito" will tie the record, the tracking week for its 16th week at #1 ends on Thursday, and Taylor is releasing (probably) on Friday. There is a slight chance that, after spending a week at #1 Taylor might experience a significant drop in points and "Despacito" might return to #1 for a week or two (that happened with "Shape Of You" recently).
