Yay! I'm really happy she was able to have a pretty successful comeback.

It sucks that Dr. Luke still gets a cut of her hard work, though.

He has one– Unorthodox Jukebox (though 24K Magic had a better first week: 231k vs. 192k).

Yeah, I was confused because it didn't debut at #1 but he got it later, eventually. :celestial5:

I'm so happy for her, she deserves this :clap3:  This is more than Warrior debuted with, which was led with a bigger hit single.  It just goes to show how many people have been rooting for her, and her finally getting to release an album expressing other sides of herself paid off big time.

i wonder if she would have had the biggest opening for a female if Katy hadn't done the bundle/tour.

So happy for Kesha though  :cries:

Kesha also did the bundle/tour promotion.

Rainbow's sales bow of 89,000 was aided in part by a concert ticket/album bundle sale redemption promotion with Kesha's upcoming tour.

Kesha, Barbara Streisand, and Janet Jackson all being mentioned in the same article.

Rapists and supporter of rapists lost. Kesha truly won.

Oh...well tbh not AS impressive but then again Kesha was never an album seller, so good numbers for her.

I agree, the numbers are quite good, just wanted to point out that her and Katy had the same advantage.

Good for her.

From what I read, Kesha got out of nothing but the EDM-style of music Dr. Luke forced her to sing/write/perform. Showing diversity, as has Lady Gaga now, has a better chance of sustaining careers. That's why I think Perry should've included more Alternative-leaning tracks, as she did with One Of The Boys,
