$ebert Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Oh, I don't think people will listen to it, they barely cared for some songs on the original album Hope it helps it to finally reach 500k streams. 1

psychodiva336 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) So I am loving all the new songs and I'm happy they're finally on streaming but yall... take a listen to "OK" and then "Love Sux" by Avril Lavigne "Are we gonna make it? Are we gonna fake it?" in "OK" "Are we having fun yet? Tell me, are we done yet?" in "Love Sux" It's the first thing I thought of when I heard "OK" I adore both songs and both artists though! Just a cute coincidence I noticed Edited 18 hours ago by psychodiva336 1
pinkbowvintage Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Honestly if this album had come out circa Teenage Dream era it would've SMASHED.
Aethereal Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Is this a whole new album or just a new song? I don't recall the old ones even their name and this sounds similar? 1

Bewitched Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Are these songs new or were they like digital downloads on her official store at one point?
Magno Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Ok and Wonder are really highlights in the whole album, I think in some moment both will become my favorite from it.

I mean… isn't that the entire problem though? And the biggest critique? (outside of the indefensible retreat back to Dr Luke, which is also 2010 coded) Teenage Dream was lightning in a bottle because it came at the perfect time for it in the zeitgeist. Teenage Dream wouldn't work now days, or at least it would not be anywhere near as successful as it was in the glow of the early Obama era. Even without the dismal optics of working with Luke, this kind of pop music just isn't going to connect. Teenage Dream songs have gone viral because people are nostalgic about that time period imo, more than the actual music itself (although they are A+ pop songs no doubt). 1
