RoseBud Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I feel I will be close. June 9 I had predicted easily over 300 K to get near Billie (ignore the comment about Taylor) 4 1

Afterglow Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Why are people comparing her to Ariana? That's just disrespectful imp, Sabrina is a girl having a cute moment but she is many, many albums in. It took a viral, writing camp-esque hit for her to get here. Ariana was a bonafide mpg from debut. How is she a replacement? For anyone really? Completely different career trajectories. 1 3

Girl it's about her style and what they offer to the table not about their trajectory. Anyway let's not start with the writing camp allegations because Ariana isn't that involved on her songwritting and that's ok. Sabrinas has worked her ass off and actually has a defining style lyrically that she found while growing up so i dont know if writing camp esque hit is a thing to say about Espresso even more considering that she has started to get on the GP with Nonsense, then Feather performed way better and then Espresso came in and now PPP smashed hard and the album now is doing WAY better numbers than any Ariana debut. So let's not 5

Taylor has been doing a lot of chart manipulation to cover up TTPD's underperformance but it is still showing if you are educated enough to know how to actually contextualize charts. Week 18 on the Hot 100 #8. Anti-Hero #10. Karma #22. Lavender Haze -BARRIER- #37. ICDIWABH #54. Fortnight Day 121 on Spotify TTPD — 15.39M (31 songs + ongoing tour boost) Midnights — 12.31M (20 songs) So as I said, the copium this forum has to deny that the millennial girls have fallen off is crazy. Either you guys are clinging too much to your former youth to deny it or just have zero chart comprehension ability, most probably both It is not a big deal, everybody falls off and the millennial girls actually lasted VERY long. They will go down as legends. So Taylor is a legacy act because... TTPD (biggest female album of 2024) is performing slightly worse than Midnights (biggest female album of 2022)? laqqinq Posted August 27 Posted August 27 130-150K pure sales is CRAZY. I think that's similar to Taylor in a way that Sabrina's fanbase is also getting conditioned/used to pure sales/physical copies, etc. That's something that always helps a lot in the long run, in terms of albums debuts and sales longevity. 2

Sabrina has always been compared to Ariana vocal-wise and they are both versatile and aim for similar aesthetics and have that Lolita persona. Anyway nobody is desperate tbh, they just pointed that there are similarities between them sound-wise and that's not saying she's the next Ariana or that she will dethrone/replace her. I hate when people say "OMG she's the next whatever artist" anyway, I just don't see nobody is the new whoever, but there's nothing wrong in see similarities between singers. but I have to say I see you so pressed, it is because she's doing numbers Ariana never see? Tell me

It could likely have been any song. Again, Sabrina is how many albums in still trying for viralilty? No, that's not what happened and you known it. Especially since Yours Truly struggled once The Way left the charts. Without My Everything (a record even Ariana resents cause of her low input and 0 personality) she wouldn't be where she is, an album that has more collabs than solo songs and has a collection of productions by the likes of Max Martin and David Guetta. "Still trying for virality" of course, that's how one smashes in this day and age, and there's nothing embarrassing with that. She's not doing things entirely out of shock value, or you would be hypocritical when Ariana had 34+35 on her 6th album, and her most recent had lyrics such as "hope you feel alright when you're in her" which is nothing far from Sabrina's grudges on SnS. 10
