Can we please just get this era over with and kickstart the next one quickly? She's now in the position to make a huge comeback.

I'm going to give the album a 4/10, yeah it's a chop for me

Have you listened to it or are you just giving it 4/10 based on the three singles/terrible era rollout?

One thing about her team…..

How are people getting the album so early?

Was the original release date the 4/26 but it was changed due to big release?

Not sure what is happening

Where did this come from and is it true? If so, Ben was right. I'm all for Dua having creative freedom, but might have been too soon. She needed one more smash era to solidify herself. She needed TaP. So sad.

I'm rating the full album based on everything we have witnessed so far, I haven't fully heard it besides the singles, and I will not be changing my score or listening to the album when it comes out.

I do agree from both the pov, Tap would've done a way better job but Dua needs to love what she's making, if it's forced then there's no point for her to be spending so much time and energy into an era, though I wish they chose a middle ground since we also have Ian songs on the album….

Kevin is still such a hard beast to tame in terms of effortless pop production - he STILL carries over the jaggedness of his indie-rock leanings...but maybe that's EXACTLY what Dua was up for

Regardless, I would have seriously suggested Ian still be a part of the finishing touches of the songs to mellow everything out - I'd pay a GOOD buck to have him re-work Houdini

...and now that I think about it, imma NEED Houdini (Ian Kirkpatrick re-work)

A song by Karol G that was a big hit last year, doing more than 9M daily streams :duck: the song saved her era and gave the album a huge boost.

Well, where is Dua's PROVENZA?

OT: so the weekly meltdowns arrive late this week :eatpopcorn:

Do you really believe that if she would have stayed it would have made a difference? Who's to say for sure that it would have performed better?

About to check my mail to see if the album is there :duca:

I firmly believe that if TaP was in charge of this release she'd be smashing. Not a doubt in my mind.

Also, Ian could have given these songs the final punch they needed. These new songs aren't bad but they aren't serving quality like her past releases, there's something missing. TaP would have made sure that the magic was there.

Hmm. I'm 50-50 on this. On one hand, the music has been absolutely terrific which proves Ben was wrong about Dua collaborating with Kevin. However, on the other hand, I do think this era has been terribly mismanaged so in a way I wish she was with TaP still…

You should consider a reviewer career

I really don't get the hype about Ian. His best two songs ever are Don't Start Now and Pretty Please. I love New Rules but production wise it's a basic overproduced mess.

His work with other artists is very cheap and filled with generic samples and free to use midi instruments. The Shakira song he produced two years ago is a hate crime.

Okay but there's literally two Ian songs on the album for anyone 'wondering' what he would've done with the songs this era :psyduck: you don't have to wonder much longer

So I found this review on X posted like an hour ago:

I have never heard of them, but reading it sounds legit, although it's not giving much on the sounds being used.

It's almost as if they reviewed the leaked lyrics and called it a day…:suburban:
