The one and only is back, business is business.

All the bitter people will watch it regardless. :giraffe:

The way some of y’all are behaving in this thread…. Like Neve signing on personally affects you. We-

probably the same ones that were calling her greedy and that she wasn't needed back as her story was over anyway when they lowballed her last time :skull:

Not gonna support that nor do I care for her since I'm not old. I will only pay to watch this if Melissa and/or Jenna return

How many times are we gonna go through this… :toofunny3:

Studio has the right to offer their talent as much money as they think they deserve. Scream 6 PROVED that the new cast from the previous movie could sell the movie, and there was no need to spend millions of dollars on a cameo that would’ve done nothing for the movie.

That being said, Melissa did say that she applauds Neve for standing her ground and not allow to be paid less than she thinks she’s worth.

These mental gymnastics to make yourself feel better for turning a blind eye to a ******* zionist Hollywood studio is next level :rip:

This is incredibly naive. Do you think all studio and label heads (and most of America) aren't staunchly pro-israel? Did you notice anyone during all these Hollywood events like the Oscars and Grammys make the slightest peep about the conflict? Even the very few that did (like Jonathan Glazer) said the most toothless, both sides statements. Are all the people working within the system and reaping the benefits while staying silent (including your fave) zionists? No, it's just business. Is it really Neve's (or Courteney's or anyone else's) responsibility to turn down a job because Melissa made a (noble) choice and faced the consequences?

Would you quit your job if your boss was an ******* to a colleague? Be honest.

This all feels so performative, consumers aren’t supposed to care or worry about these kinds of things, it’s… a movie :rip: I hate the internet, nobody would’ve given a **** (or pretended to) before it

Scream is BACK and ATRL can stay crying like a little b*tch. Accept it and learn this franchise is still alive and breathing again

How hard can it be to kill Neve's character that it's taking them seven movies?

Honestly, slay. Sydney >>>>>>> Tara & Sam

Plus, Jenna got insufferable after Wednesday became a hit. Millennials won :jonny5:

People are so insufferable these days.

Personally, Scream IV was the best way to either launch a new trilogy or end the series, and they fumbled that and came back a decade later with the two sh*ttiest sequels, and they couldn’t even land Neve for the last one. Her coming back now just makes no sense at all.

And the plot line of the main girl in the last two being Billy Loomis’ bastard child is just such a reach into soap opera territory.

The whole series needs to be stopped at this point. The last movie at least ended on a somewhat final moment to put it all to rest.

Irony being that Melissa was conpletely wooden in Scream 2022 and marginally better in 6 but absolutely could not carry the franchise without Jenna and the others. I wondered if her social media posts were a pretext for her firing after they knew Jenna would be too busy to be in Scream 7.

So they smeared her as antisemitic just to not have to pay Jenna Ortega? That’s even worse. :skull:

This movie is a PR disaster and unless Kevin Williamson is back to write it, I fear it'll be an overall dud too. What story is there to tell with Sidney at this point? Having her back is fine but from a story perspective the franchise has moved on and Melissa/Jenna are who the chapter of the franchise needs focusing on. There are so many loose ends that need to be tied up with that, and dragging Neve back to save face from the deserved backlash they got over Melissa's firing isn't gonna change that. I'm fine with having her back it just doesn't serve the story to just act like story building of 5/6 didn't happen.

Unless they somehow come to an agreement with Melissa/Jenna I don't see how this movie will even work :rip:

Honestly Scream 4, 5 and 6 seemed to be about moving on from Sidney’s story. Scream 3 was all about rounding out her story anyway, so to bring her back screams creative bankruptcy, but I guess it was the only option they had.

the general public couldn't care less if or why an actor was fired. they only care about the name: SCREAM. This movie will do very well.
