tbhmatt Posted March 11 Share Posted March 11 She did say that she intentionally chose this song because it’s the most radio friendly, commercial sounding song they could have picked for the lead… so, she isn’t going to be reinventing the wheel with this one. It seems like they wanted to pick a “safe” option to introduce herself. If anyone has the voice to elevate a run of the mill generic pop song it’s Perrie. WERKER Posted March 11 Share Posted March 11 As much as I hate to say it I actually think a generic safe intro is what she needs for the UK. This type of song is easily digestible (going by the 6 seconds I've heard), will be played on loop on the radio and the GP will use it as easy listening - a good intro to Perrie. Leigh was safe with DSL and experimented more with ML, lets see what Perrie gives us - the info we've heard about the rest of the album is really positive and sounds experimental.
