Do you think there are only 5 good female acting performances each year?

he probably can't even comprehend the followings of awards szn (*pretends to be shocked*) so why even bother?

mind you she was the only one getting praised out of HOG

I remember many of them reviews complaining how there was a lack of Gaga towards the 2nd half of the movie

Gaga is OK in acting but sometimes she definitely feels off.  She will always be a singer first.

Uh-oh, the self-proclaimed Metacritic Expert with proven expertise in negative review compilation and archiving is at it again…

OT: She wouldn’t be landing one of the biggest female lead roles of 2024 if she wasn’t in such a good place in her acting career… :heart2:

You literally can NOT argue against that.

Her acting in HOG is honestly one of the worst performances I’ve seen in my life.

her only misstep imo was HOG, her acting was a highlight because the rest of the cast and the movie were just horrendous

but so far, I think she's doing pretty good

I'm just wondering why she hasn't announced her next moves after Joker. Are there any rumors for her next movies? She's been very successful im movies so far.

All I know is she is being paid 12 million for her 3rd movie? which other actress in the history has been able to do that?

all this long essay but Gaga is still an Academy Nominated for Best Actress which is VERY HARD to get... not to count another awards she has won for ASIB, HOG and AHS: Hotel

No. You're unhinged as they come and why you haven't been barred from making threads after all the flame bait you consistently spew, is beyond me.

Clearly some bias going on.

But it's a known fact ATRL is delusional as it gets to when it comes to Lady Gaga and the constant undervaluing of her status and delusional takes on relevance.

The fact she's succeeded and slayed the music and film industries, not to mention the fashion industry, is why you're all constantly seething and hating. The bigger the star, the bigger the target afterall!

HOG was panned and barely broke even, “successful” is a stretch

According to who? Cain the box office expert from ATRL?

AHS: Hotel- Golden Globe win, generally well-received by critics, audiences really liked her performance

ASIB- Oscar nomination for BA, hit every precursor, won NBR, huge box office smash, universal acclaim

HoG- won NYFCC, hit every precursor, box office success during COVID, arguably stronger reviews than ASIB (a little less universal but clearly more passionate critical support)

That is a killer run. There's obviously room for her to grow and build her career, but the idea that she's not successful or respected in the field is obviously a delusion.

so 'some' (interesting word considering it's hundreds of critics) of RT critics who praised her are irrelevant, but the 'two dozen negative RT-eligible critics' are the voice of authority despite RT themselves specifically mention Lady Gaga by name as the highlight in the critics consensus?

i'm really not trying to be rude but i just genuinely don't understand in what universe was Gaga's HoG performance mixed :rip: like... the awards and the critics consensus are right there. you are welcome to dislike it or criticise, but pretending it wasn't acclaimed by critics and industry peers is just a straight up lie.

Miss Suburban is very intelligent and knows that she's not making logical sense for the very reasons you brought up, but I'll give her credit that she sure keeps the act up :clap3:

The NYFCC winner keeps her foot firmly placed on OGH's necks :clap3:

It's like she is waiting for big flashy roles in big movies that can be big at the box office instead of choosing several maybe smaller good movies or good roles.

Is it bad that she has... successful films that also land her in awards conversations? :rip:

Like I genuinely don't get her picking "big" movies as a criticism. That's literally the aim of many actors. Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Margot Robbie, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy, etc. have all picked "big" studio movies as of late. Doing indie movies is typically a stepping stone to bigger projects. That's simply part of being a big Hollywood name... which is what this entire thread is about.

Are we surprised these delusional takes are coming from somebody who made last year best actress thread permanently closed in the awards watch board ahead of Oscar day by bringing Gaga that was not even in the race in order to attack an user just because they were supporting Michelle Yeoh over there and that spent the whole awards season of HOG derailing the thread dedicated to it in said board?

If Gaga did microbudget indies these same people would claim she’s hungry for acclaim and stealing roles from indie actresses. :suburban:
