newaespa Posted February 10 Posted February 10 oh no this is really bad for Taylor, is everyone going to refund their era tour tickets now?

Try again. Indeed. Why would you embarrass yourself like that if you can't even fact check public information Edited February 10 by WildHeart 10

She talked to her peers like they were fans It's giving brainrot at this point. Award ceremonies are literal promotion platforms that every artist tries to utilise to their best abilities be that through performing their newest songs or through talking about their upcoming projects. "Bbut her ppp-eers" has to be the worst take I've ever seen anywhere tbh Imagine someone getting dragged for announcing an album. Stan culture is wild. 8

Like, someone who's Taylor's best friend saying "I have her number and her added on snapchat" doesn't sound like they know her, does it? It sounds like you're just someone she knows exists. Yall are free to DM me on insta for proof. It's Ava Max not Beyonce
Kimbra Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Y'all don't even make disliking Taylor fun. Like the behavior in this thread is DERANGED. 8 2

MingYouToo Posted February 10 Posted February 10 OTHs acting as if Swifties need her to be Miss Americana and being the most beloved in America babes she will always be polarizing to a specific demographic she's never been America's sweetheart not since 1989 in 2014. She may be the biggest name rn but Swifties are not delusional to think she's anywhere close to America's sweetheart, the right hates her, the black community sees her as the embodiment of white privilege, the left hate her for her silence. She'll still be selling, people will still yap on about her, us Swifties will still be enjoying her music while yall constantly find ways to attack the little cracks she never gaf about in the first place. 3 2

Storm653 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 4 hours ago, BrandNewBrandon said: Nah, this is something else. Before you'd see people stand in her corner, defend her in the comments etc. and right now it's literally FILLED with dislikes. This is not stan Twitter, this is TikTok where the general public sits and watches and comments. This is from the GP so those pity stan wars and music lovers being against her for a quick minute is nothing compared to your Average Joe saying he's sick of her and her peers have more talent. The thing that amuses me is that this has been seen before with other acts. And it ALWAYS ended with a decrease in popularity that the fandom of said artist only saw when it was too late. So all these "nothing is going to change" narratives are quite stupid. Nope. I witnessed the "Snek" era of the past and this just doesn't compare. During the "Snek" era, Taylor had way more detractors who saw her as an ordinary pop star who wrote love songs and people were bashing her like crazy online. #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty was one of the most tweeted things online at one point. It didn't help either that her worst albums(Rep, Lover) dropped during that period too which played right into the hands of the detractors who either didn't get her music or saw her as a 2-faced liar. Until Taylor's next albums or her next line of Era concert shows flop, it's unlikely that this will have any impact. On Tik Tok, anything can go viral and get tons of views in a nanosecond. But that says nothing about her popularity with the GP or the support ofher fanbase. Taylor has always had vocal haters online and offline. 5 1
SuperCiC1 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 For anyone to even want to be as famous as Taylor Swift is right now, (and, let's be clear, she clearly loves fame and has instrumented her career to maximize her exposure), is a red flag for narcissism. To believe you are so interesting, so special that billions of people should be looking at and listening to you is actually a highly regressive trait and we are in need of a correction if society is to evolve. Taylor Swift is not that great. 2 1

Ethereaaal Posted February 10 Posted February 10 She’ll be fine. Swifties will not leave her for these things…
alestevens Posted February 10 Posted February 10 To be fair, it was a bit boring these last few years that OTHs had gone into hiding. Seeing them fume and hope for a downfall they have been waiting for almost two decades and still didnt happen adds a bit of extra entertainment. So i say keep it coming, i just know The Tortured Haters Department will be THAT girl 1

Kavish Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Phew, I thought she did something bad. Let me stream ivy in peace.
robattack332 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Downfall....y'all should know better by now. She's definitely hitting overexposure, but she's come back from it many times now. It's been bubbling up for a while now with her on every Sunday football show, and simultaneously, many are tired of Kansas City too. Season will be over soon so that'll help.
