The UN has a strong anti-West bias, so it just likes to pretend that russia's bombing of Ukraine is not happening. And you could say the same about Iran/China/North Korea/South Africa sending ammo and missiles to russia while condemning Israel's atrocities in Gaza. Israel (unfortunately) enjoys bipartisan support in the US, so Biden is unlikely to abandon it (and recent protests were rather counterproductive since I saw even some Democrats on the center-left criticizing them). Your median voter just sees them as rich privileged kids disrupting classes. It was actually a gift for the Republicans who were desperate to regain some normalcy and paint the other side as the extreme one. 1 13 3

I wonder if greater protests will pop out following the consequences of Rafah? The number of dead will shot high, it is going to be a macabre.
Aethereal Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Is there any chance a permanent ceasefire will take place? Keep protesting guys.

Mean Trees Posted May 4 Posted May 4 The false victimization of the west and its proxies is so hilarious to see. A history of colonization and bloodshed and people want to come up with takes like the UN is anti-west. The UN was created as a vehicle to maintain western supremacy across the entire globe. It's based in New York of all places. 5
Aethereal Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Supposedly with the amount of dead Israel can excuse itself as "unintentional collateral damage" (which is a crappy excuse anyways), how can they excuse themselves with trying to sabotage the aid to a population with hunger? Is that "collateral damage" too?
ClashAndBurn Posted May 4 Posted May 4 The US is lying so that Hamas will hand over the hostages for essentially nothing in return. 2
