BorderBoy Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 A few hours into a truce, and Israeli forces killed two Palestinians trying to return to their homes in Gaza. Smh. The zionists just can't stop killing. 1
BorderBoy Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Mind you, this 'truce' is not a ceasefire. I do hope it lasts longer than just 4 days but Israel going back to committing genocide in Gaza after it ends remains a possibility.
State of Grace. Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Barbaric monsters. I hate that I'm not even remotely shocked by this 1

Aethereal Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 The number of dead Gazan has passed 14,500. This is horrific.
More Than A Melody Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 I feel awful for what I'm gonna say because my heart breaks for every single Palestinian, but I truly don't think there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I think this will continue until everyone is dead or exiled and Israel will annex Gaza. The world opened its eyes to this way too late and no amount of pressure will make a difference. I also feel like the pressure is diminishing already. People are exhausted of seeing death and destruction (it's a very privileged way of looking at it, but it's what I'm seeing). If Israel truly plans on continuing for two more months, I simply think the pressure will be almost nonexistent by then. Look at Ukraine... 3

Yes in 2 months people will forget about this war just like they forgot about Ukraine. And I don't think this is ever going to end. Palestine will become another Yemen.
Capris Groove Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Yes, it's true, our strength nowadays is that we can see everything that's happening and it's undeniable. Our weakness is that we have short attention spans.

All this makes me feel, especially seeing after the disparate treatment of Israel hostages in Palestine vs Palestinian hostages in Israel (with the latter treated worse) is that Palestinians were right in their cause to take hostages in order to free the hostages Israel had taken and that there reasonably can be no peace until all Palestinians are home safe and Israel is ready to begin talks to dismantling their settlements. 1 1

It's noticeable on literally every 9 out of 10 "open source intelligence" (many just being trolls or Western gov affiliates) of these kinds of accounts: "Ukrainians trying to stop Russia from bombing them = Glorious Heroes; Palestinians trying to stop Israel from bombing them = Filthy Islamic Dirt Savages". Surely it can't be the uncomfortable yet obvious reality of the difference in perceived race? Edited November 25, 2023 by Communion 2 1

That too in West bank where there is supposedly no Hamas. Do you..... think Hamas are the only people in Palestine that hate Israel for bombing them? Anti-Israel sentiment is/was higher in the West Bank than Gaza. It only became equal after Israel met peaceful protests in Gaza with a mass military assault that left hundreds permanently disabled. Citing that Hamas does not operate out of the West Bank is not to suggest the West Bank are pro-Israel. That there is no Hamas in the West Bank is to point out the fact that the violence occurring is not originating from Palestinians out of thin air. That West Bankers were simply not organized in the same capacity of Hamas in Gaza to orchestrate such and yet themselves were on the tail-end of such violence from Israel for years, before *and*, most importantly, after 10/07 despite them not being who struck back at Israel. Those in the West Bank have had years and years now of Zionist settlers terrorizing them. We literally saw Israeli settlers commit pogroms against those in the West Bank this year. Refugee camps bombed over and over. Am I meant to be moved by a right-wing furry (???) tweeting out "SEE! SEE!! LOOK AT HOW THEY WAVE HAMAS FLAGS IN THE WEST BANK!!". ...did you expect support for Hamas *to go down* after all of this amongst Palestinians? When Hamas has effectively put forth a more unified defense than any alternative? That is why Israel is viewed as unserious with regards to peace, as any actual peace requires a ceasefire and an end to their settlements. Every new dead Palestinian and day without peace only proves to the Palestinian people that Hamas is right in how to deal with Israel. Israel either loses its Zionist goals or it gets bigger, more vengeful forms of Hamas. This all occurred in the West Bank before 10/07, this year: Edited November 25, 2023 by Communion 2 2
