Instagram just took down @eye.on.palestine's account (again), the largest news account on the platform :ace:

Their back up page is banned too. This is crazy

By definition, the creation of a Jewish ethnostate on Palestinian land is going to call for the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. How can you justify the creation of Israel… but admonish how it was created to achieve the goals set forth for its creation? Those are dissonant positions to take.

You’re trying to “both-sides” yourself into a pretzel and it’s beyond ridiculous.

It's gotten to a point where I'm not even reading their rants anymore. There's nothing of substance in them. It's just a bunch of words that don't make sense stacked next to each other. I just wish they would show us the hand they throw the rock with.

If they truly condemn the way Israel has behaved since its inception in regards to Palestine (which they say they do) but also have such inflammatory language towards Hamas, then I'm going to need them to show us the alternative. How should people that are systematically oppressed, murdered, and displaced supposed to react to that treatment?

I don't think anyobody in this thread is pro Hamas. It's just empathy and understanding how someone's desperation can reach that sort of reaction. It's humanity. It's not treating October 7 as the start of a horrible situation that's actually been going on since 1948.

So until I have a concrete answer from these "both sides" girlies on what the "appropriate" response is, and what they would do differently, my replies to them are going to be VERY boring.

Really sick of people like this getting a platform. Let’s wait for @Gaia to defend it.

WTF? It's sickening how people have no sympathy for Palestine. I couldn't even finish the video.

We (humans) are failing the Palestinian people. At this point, I have no doubt that Palestine will be completely wiped off the map. My heart feels so heavy today.

The smug expression these people always have while making such callous remarks… omg. Makes my blood BOIL.

A former "ambassador to the United Nations" calling Palestinians "inhumane animals" :clown:

This is straight-up Nazi rhetoric. I really have no words left, and the fact that this is being repeatedly said out loud and so casually on mainstream media is wild but not really surprising. They have the full support and backing of the Western countries who keep dropping the mask and going deeper into the trenches of fascism.

Im curious for the  people who are advocating for Israel not to exist at all, where exactly are the 7 million people in Israel supposed to go if that were to happen? Israel in quotes in signs is certainly sad.

1- Immediate ceasefire and release of hostages

2- Send in humanitarian aid with no limits and no ifs and buts

3- Start diplomatic conversations for Israel to stop existing and the current situation to end at once

4- Create a new, joint state, call it something secular

5- This new state needs to be heavily monitored by the UN (in an imaginary world where the UN are a fair institution)

6- Every person who was born or lives in those territories (Gaza, the West Bank, Israel) is automatically a citizen with equal rights and opportunities. Everyone gets a vote, everyone is allowed to move freely in the country

7- Give displaced Palestinian people back their homes or reparations (or both)

8- Since half of Gaza is currently demolished, it's important to restore it

9- Hamas and the IDF both cease to exist

Done.

I hope the irony of this statement is not lost on you.

BTW, I know that my comment is an utopia that will never happen. Israel will never stop existing. I'm fairly certain there'd be civil wars for the rest of eternity if that was implemented. But that's what should've happened in 1948 instead of... this.

There are 28 countries that do not recognize Israel. Egypt is the only neighbor of Israel that recognizes them.  The vast majority of the countries that are majority Islamic don't recognize Israel.

I don't get the dishonesty of fellow Westerners to suddenly conflate states as legal constructs with their populations just when it suddenly applies to groups of people we wish to control.

Yugoslavia no longer exists as a nation. Where did all those Yugoslavians go? Did they just magically die? No, they simply became nationals of the new state(s) their current homes were now within the borders of.

Did Afrikaners suddenly vanish from South Africa once it was transformed from an apartheid system to a democracy? There are still white British within Zimbabwe after the end of Rhodesia. So why is it hard to understand that the creation of a singular Palestinian state would and could include all Palestinians and Israelis? "Where would they go?" Who said they had to go anywhere? Why not ask them how many would even want to stay if not living in a state with an artificial ethnic majority?

It's ignorance to not even know Palestinian groups have historically held the belief that Jewish settlers who wish to end apartheid should live freely amongst Palestinians. There was a lack of demand for expulsion of all Israelis because Palestinians have always understood their reality to be akin to apartheid and it assumed, like elsewhere, many settlers would simply *not want* to live there anymore after no longer being able to to subjugate the occupied.

It's also ignorance to Zionists and their goals. "Israel" is a Zionist invention. Ask Zionists how they would feel about a secular Israel. They would tell you: "that is not Israel". Because Israel *has* to be an ethno-state. Israel is not Israel to the Zionist if it is not a Jewish-majority state. It is founded upon mass displacement and rule of a singular ethnic group.

This is old news now, sadly, but funny how it's slowly being confirmed that it was Israel who bombed the hospital after all and that all their "proof" was not actual proof

I'm curious for the Israelis and Genocide Joe supporters who want to annex the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, where exactly are the 7.5 million Palestinians supposed to go if that were to happen?

The fact that Israel fabricated that recording (in stereo!) and couldn't even get their subjects to speak in a convincing dialect should have been the first hint. America has actually gaslit the world in order to protect Israel.
